and Wilder not? :mjlol:

Fury's boxing skills and IQ>>>>>>>Wilder's boxing skills and IQ:francis:
Fury's performance tonight is not one of his best. I don't think anyone would argue otherwise :manny: he was content to lay on Wilder when the guy clearly had no legs or defense to speak of anymore - he could've been taking care of business. Instead his timing was off, he took some bad shots himself approaching recklessly, and his defense was just not as good as what anyone should be used to seeing out of him.

I'm not comparing Fury to Wilder, I'm saying Fury didn't put out some resume performance tonight.

Bro there was nothing close about this fight. Stop. Please just stop. Don't sully what we just saw with a bogus take. Not only did Fury win the vast majority of the rounds but he had 2 knock downs.
fury won fair and square
im just sayin wilder had early knockdowns in their first fight as well. and hurt fury numerous times in fights 1 and 3. fight 2 was a complete blowout. so that doesnt help da arugment that something was off that night

Did you not watch Wilder Fury 2?

He would have been toast coming in lower.

I did but it doesn’t seem like he took advantage of his lighter weight in either fight by moving around more. He should’ve continued with the body blows that he started this fight with and kept moving, wearing out 300 lb Fury while looking for the knockout.

:dwillhuh:but everyone knew that though. Wilder's plan wasnt to win on points.

Idk what yall were expecting. He was never going to outbox Fury or even attempt to, hes not that guy. It was either end him with the right hand or die trying. Its his only chance at victory. It nearly worked but it didnt.

exactly i dont know how people try to put down wilder after all these years on boxing, hes never been an elite boxer. In fact Wilder's game plan has worked 2 out of the 3 fights which is detonate with the right hand, Fury simply is able to survive those knock downs while nobody else could.

For me
1. Fury
Gap
2. Wilder
3. Usyk
4. Whyte
5. Joshua
Same for 6-10.

No one in the HW division can beat Fury. Wilder is the best remaining. Usyk will struggle with Wilder power, athleticism, and length. Joshua could have maybe 4-5 years ago but he's looking like a shell of himself of late. He doesn't have the extreme confidence anymore. 4-5 years ago, Joshua was looking like a ATG candidate. Not no more.

I don't know about NOBODY being able to beat him. Fury has shown that he can definitely get caught, and realistically, probably should've eaten a stoppage against Wallin. And that said, we've really only see this version of fury fight Wilder, Wallin, and a few overmatched opponents. We really don't have enough proof of him against capable competition that isn't Wilder.

Boxing brehs:

1) why doesn't Fury's fat and love handles slow him down?

2) how will Wilder's wife look at him?

1. if you're talking about over the course of the fight or also handspeed .. the answer is the same.

Technique.

His technique allows him to be much more efficient with his punches. He throws jabs as a range finder.. and every now and then threw. a stiff jab to keep wilder at bay. Jabs don't sap the energy out of you (relative to other punches), and if you're timing it well it doesn't have to be super lightnight quick to be effective.

Not saying that he wouldn't be better if he wasn't fat and didn't have love handles.. there was plenty of moments in the fight where wilder was gassed and throwing garbage punches and missing where fury could've taken advantage but didn't.. probably because he also was conserving energy.

His stamina is actually wild for his height and weight.. i'm sure he puts in work @ the gym for cardio etc but i think he offsets most of his fatboy-ness by just being smart and calculated in how he spends his energy in the ring.

A wild brawl were the better bóxer found a way to pull it off.

Man, I like Wilder but he has nothing else to prove. Breh got hurt BAD and kept going tonight,, he made great money, no need to keep risking his health. He ain't ever gonna be the same anymore after this fight, just enjoy jour money with the fam.

Fury looked beatable, but at the same time showed again that even on an off night he can take it and survive.

Honestly, if Wilder could counter-punch, he would have easily won this fight.

All he needed to do was time Fury's jab with a straight right and he would have shut Fury down.

Wouldn't even have needed defence, just stand in the pocket throwing straights and Fury would have no answer.
