I think it would be a total disrespect if I just go for both belts and get both belts right now. So I’m just going to give these women the time and the grace to do their best until I decide that I want to go for the other belt. Honestly, it’s on my time. Let me just give them Grace and give them time to get their stuff together and get the little shine they need because once I take over, it’s done. Everything is on my time and I’m just relaxed, chillin’, I’m enjoying this belt right now. I’m building it up and making it more special than the main belt right now. That’s my goal.

The Wrestling Observer and Fightful Select have released an update on the Sammy Guevara and Andrade El Idolo fight that took place prior to last night’s AEW Dynamite.

Both publications state that Andrade was the aggressor in the situation, and threw punches at Guevara, who did not throw any in return. This is why Andrade was the one who was sent home and Guevara remained to compete in the main event, where he picked up a victory for the JAS over Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia.

Andrade and Guevara had been spoken to prior to the Dynamite taping due to their back and forth shoot argument on Twitter, and were both instructed to not make things worse, which they agreed to. Several talents believed that the situation would be squashed instead of it turning into a fight.

The report does note that it seemed that Guevara did shove Andrade prior to the punches. News of their fight had reached the audience in Washington as Guevara was heavily booed for the main event. A number of fans also started chanting “Idolo” after Dynamite went off the air.

More Details On The Backstage Fight Between Andrade El Idolo and Sammy Guevara, Who The Aggressor Was

Probably why Andrade was sent home and Guevara wasn't. Either way, was tone deaf to have Guevara be the one with the pin given what transpired over the past few days.

Thread...I think this is a pretty well-reasoned discussion of AEW's current status

This.

The shows have been fantastic, there obviously was an effort to have the women have more screen time that makes sense (save for Britt and Saraya).

We also had a hoss battle and significant Wardlow win, FTR got something to do, Page/Mox is heating up.

But the dirtsheet overshadowing needs to stop. I don't even keep up with the nonsense, and it still brings a sense of dread over the whole state of affairs.

Kinda tough to do that with Cody in another organization and The Elite suspended.
They have tons of other videos of other talents they can show.

Guess my point is , there’s was nothing that screamed special about the show.

3 year celebration is a bit of a random number to celebrate. Usually 5 year, 10 year, 15 etc no?
TK made a deal about it on social media. I mean, it’s not my 3 yr anniversary of watching so I hadn’t even considered it until AEW brought it up.
