I don’t think @stro is wrong, one of the few consistent things AEW has needed to work on is promoting and building week to week :yeshrug: we can be fans of something and admit faults with it too

Seth rollins is a flop in wwe
Roman reigns only got liked via cancer in wwe
AEW hardly focuses on moxley

The shield is truly a manufactured and forced Hoax of a being the greatest stable of this generation

:wow:

I coulda sworn over the last few weeks they hyped up a a match for a future show. :hubie:

It’s not about not admitting faults for me, I’m just not getting criticism of how they are doing it :ld:

Even before this show it was known last week that “next week the tag team finals” was happening:yeshrug:

Some of my thoughts from this week's show:

-enjoyed the storytelling of cody trying to mind game jericho by arriving late on purpose. thought some of the talking bits between cody and tony went too long. also thought they didn't do enough of jericho waiting on stage when codys song was playing, dude just came out regularly and jericho essentially didnt have to wait at all.

-The arm break scene was kind of weird. The level of Dustin's selling he should have just stayed there for paramedics. There should have been paramedics from backstage who could have ran there in the time it happened on the big Tron. Should have never gotten to the point to where Dustin has recovered enough to get up and be helped away.

-the rick and morty shyt reeked of WWE. I understand Adult Swim worked a deal with TNT for this, but my god can you figure out another way to promote the show. It made that whole team come off as geeks, and entirely the approach WWE would have taken.

-I did like however the wrestlers having fun with their attire tonight, like Kenny Omega. The difference is he's not wearing a mask and a coat that is so impractical to wrestling. Entirely different thing than the Ricky and Morty promotion though.

-I know this is against the general perception and Meltzer loves him, but I don't see ANYTHING in Adam Page. And I'm not talking about the "they dont tell us anything about him" gripe, he's obviously a cowboy gimmick. (non bad-ass version of James Storm) He just doesn't have any charisma to me. Solid in the ring of course, but I don't want to see him pushed anywhere near the main event at this point.

-Would have liked to see the "Inner Circle" member Sammy get the win here with help from his cronies instead and protect all of those members until they can lose on a PPV

-they seemed to have had one of the LAX member drop their "mad dog" mannerisms, which were very visible in their Jericho introduction promo. I hated it and think both members should just have street mannerisms, so good on them for that.

-I liked the way they are portraying Brandi as being a master manipulator and has Kong as her puppet. Gives her more character. They need to chill and be careful not to go too deep into the Lucha Underground mythical creatures territory in these vignettes though.

-I absolutely hate how they are just going right into "life imitates art" storyline with Moxley. So instead of him having fresh air in a great new environment, he's already disgruntled and bitter at the office? You might as well quit here too and try your luck again with a different promotion.

-I would have chose the Lucha Bros as the first champs, but I'm a huge mark for them so we'll see where they go with SCU.

5/10 their worst show yet

Agreed for both of these

I liked seeing the rock and roll express get beat up, I kind of dont want to see anyone on tv unless they are willing to take a ass whooping

There is no way im ever getting behind SCU in their current state, they are corny and the gimmick doesnt make sense. The lucha bros or young bucks are the only two teams that should have been considered

I asked earlier in the thread why his match with Omega at Full Gear was suddenly unsanctioned (causing a win or loss not to count) and was old to watch it back.

Ended up watching it back: Khan goes, "Umm...you're the purveyor of violence...."

.....WHAT the hell does that even mean? :mindblown:

They've had 4-5 weeks and they're still figuring out what they are so yeah you listen to the fans and you also just experiment cause you can and should. TNT is giving them leeway to do so. Peace has cost Vince his strength. Victory defeated him

It's because Cody knows that Geese is the BAUCE of Southtown and the best SNK final boss
