Do they really need to this deep in the social media era?

Let’s not even be cute with the bu bu bu but most people don’t even have phones or know what YouTube is.

Everyone one of their fans had a smartphone and a tablet/computer. They’ll figure it out.

Plus I’m sure that’s not going to break them..... I don’t think (small sample size) anyone here on the coli not gonna watch nexts weeks event if they don’t promote it

Honestly, Jericho might be the lamest he's ever been, and he's had multiple periods where he was just awful and the most boring dude on TV. Dude really out here trying to get heat by calling the crowd millennials and saying he's gonna teach Cody a lesson...in what it's like to be a LOSER. He's like a parody right now. The BUBBLY getting memed completely changed and ruined whatever character he was doing that at least wasn't the same Jericho we've seen a million times. He's basically 2002-2003 Jericho right now but older and fatter.
I never was a fan of Jericho but I'd prefer him over most of the shyt in WWE right now. Moxley, PAC, Omega, Cody and Scorpio Sky will probably be at the top.

Yes I think they need to set shyt up for the next week's show. That's the most basic thing there is to do for TV wrasslin and ANY kind of weekly show, and every company with TV or even an internet show does it better than AEW. Expecting your fans to follow all your social media bullshyt to know what the fukk is going on or what talent they can expect to see is a structural issue they need to fix now because it works when there's still a newness and excitement for the company, but once it's established it's going to feel like Nitro where everything seems random. It already feels like they're coming up with shyt day of the show to me without thinking about what to do next week (I think last week they actually were changing stuff as the show was airing).

So far the only guys with any angles and feuds are The Elite, with the rest of the roster just having random matches that go nowhere with no stakes or feuds or anything behind them. I think 5 weeks of TV and overall 6 months of shows is enough of a sample size to show they have some real structural issues they need to fix immediately because this shyt's going to fall apart in another few months if they keep booking like this.

I like a lot of the shyt AEW is doing right now but I gotta keep it all the way 100. There's never gonna be any kind of boom as long as the roster keeps presenting themselves as a bunch of nerds.

You wanna dress up as cartoon and video game characters, cool, whatever, but you could've at least picked like the Simpsons or Family Guy, or even like SpongeBob or some anime or some shyt. And you could've picked some real nikka shyt like Mortal Kombat or Halo, or even some basic shyt like Mario for the video games.

But instead these nikkas out here dressing up as the most cac ass cac cartoon and probably the closest person they have to someone "cool" dressing up as the geekiest fukking video game in existence.

Rick and fukking Morty????
fukking Undertale?????

Really nikka? And nikkas wanna talk about a fukking BOOM???? Get the fukk out of here.

And trust me this also goes for the E cause most of them come of as a bunch of geeks and nerds too.

Good show. Despite it going on long, I thought the Hiraku and Shanna (deadass looks like Teanna) was the best woman's match they've had on the show. No issue with SCU being the champs, sometimes it's better if our favourites were to chance than hold the gold.

This 2019..... almost 2020.

A lot of OLD shyt that may have worked for 100+ years don’t need to necessarily still need to be done on some “same ol shyt” to work or them be successful.

They keeping records now, guys don’t need “angles” to want to win or have a reason to fight each other.

Also, NJPW has exposed or shown to the world you can have great random matches and if anything we in the West need to catch up.

Also, it’s not bullshyt for them to expect “their fans” to follow the social media shyt when “their fans” are the fans that always already BEEN following the social media shyt.

If new fans come on, I’m sure in 2020 that’s not going to be a difficult thing to adopt to, the same new fans in their own right already have several social media accounts and browse that shyt on the hourly.

Again, they want to present their product closer to being as sports based as possible.

The Khans are NFL owners, the Niners tonight don’t need a big angle or storyline to face the Cards. Remaining undefeated is already enough

idk man the most basic thing to do in weekly wrestling is book stuff for the next week's show as a hook and AEW is doing a very poor job of that and just assuming their audience is going to tune in even if they have nothing planned, which is pretty ballsy for a promotion that has only been on TV for 5 weeks.

Also they just introduced their Chief Brand Officer as a voodoo practioner to control another wrestler and had multiple wrestlers dressed up as cartoon and/or video game characters last night, along with multiple comedy wrestlers on the roster. This shyt ain't NJPW, bruddah.

Maybe...... but it’s just aint a big deal to me and I watch this show for myself and not “other fans”

I can and will only judge this show based off what it provides to ME and not other fans. Even if I don’t like some of the things it does or doesn’t do for other fans, that wouldn’t alter my perceptions.

With that said, I don’t know the matches for next weeks RAW (though off watching it’s predictable) I don’t know what’s up next and it’s not a problem.

Most shows run commercials anyway showing “coming next week” so it’s not even a big deal. Also this again ain’t 1996, if I want to know or find something else bad enough I can. It’s takes more effort to walk into my kitchen and get a glass of water than to find the info I need.

The Brandy thing? I have no problem with that like I had no problem with the cinematic super natural shyt of Lucha Underground, the undead shyt I saw clips of in TNA with people dying there and zombies, or the Undertaker, Bray Wyatt supernatural shyt. I don’t see the point of picking and choosing when we want to “suspend disbelief”

Also it’s a HALLOWEEN ep, let’s not pretend in wrestling we’ve never seen guys dress up for Halloween in any Fed, oh yea guess what?

They (and when I say They I mean pretty much ALL the feds) are gonna dress up for Thanksgiving and I expect to see someone dressed up as Santa or something Christmas related come December.

Sorry, this ain’t the thing to nitpick to me:yeshrug:
