For me there was always a big disconnect with the characters and storylines and then Matt Striker constantly referencing 70s wrestling and pop culture references and then the matches being normal matches. Like there would be literally demons and murder and Matt Striker would bring up Jumbo Tsuruta or Arn/Tully

100% facts breh. There only downfall was the production cost were high (all that cut scene fight stuff) and they weren’t on a major network. But man..some of those matches, the “All Night Long” matches, the way they set up the tournaments for the gift of the gods title...the talent they had(I swear outside of Pentagon one Fenix, King Cuerno was prime to be a star), and fuggin Matanza!!!

So much good stuff...and the did all that with only an hour time slot

Man LU again held down Weds for a min.

There was never really a bum ep and each season got better.

It’s amazing how they elevated so much talent while at the same time protected EVERYONE.

Like Famous B was that dude but in the WWE he would be marginalized as fukk.

GOATanza was my fav on the show but everyone else really did a great job doing their thing and I never felt bored, uninterested or checked out at any moment.

Every Ultimate Lucha was better than......
