Dragon/Sabre is not the main event?

It really shouldn't. With the pre show, shyt is gonna last close to four and a half hours (maybe a little bit more). Danielson vs Sabre is a novelty match but here's nothing on the line and you can't ask the crowd to be alive for a mat based match with some hard striking after going through more than 4 hrs of wrestling. Swerve and Darby from the area too and both have real feuds going on, so either one was a better choice for the main event. Dragon been feuding with Starks all this time, that's a match that could close a PPV, not a one off with Sabre.

Yeah I didn't know Christian vs. Darby would be the main event. Is TK crazy enough to have that be the main but then not have Edge debut? Obviously everyone will be expecting it now lol

Well it's an AEW PPV so time for predictions now that the full card is out

Zero Hour

• Mixed tag match - Bread, Lee, Athena, and Billie Starkz getting the W
• Josh Barnett defeats Claudio Castagnoli - Barnett was Inoki's prized pupil. I'd be shocked if he doesn't win on the preshow of an Inoki tribute show.
• Luchasaurus defeats Nick Wayne - Christian's corruption of Nick Wayne continues
• AEW Trios title match - The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass retain as the most blatantly obvious matchup to choose on the card

Main Card

• Ricky Starks defeats Wheeler Yuta - any other result and we riot. After losing back to back matches to Danielson, having Starks lose to fukking Yuta would be criminal
• ROH Tag team championship handicap match - The Righteous defeat MJF, we need an unexpected finish on the card. Either side winning clean makes zero fukking sense both in perception and story unless there is fukkery involved. So I sure hope there is fukkery involved
• TBS title match - Spooky Biotch Julia HArt will be the NEWWWWW TBS champion. Start pushing her to the moon like Jade should have been. Yeah she is still green in the ring, but she is only 21 (turns 22 in 5 weeks), is over with the live crowds, and has some of the best character work and presence going in wrestling right now. And this character change she has made going from cheerleader to Princess of the Black Throne was all her idea, so you need to reward that masterful creativity.
• Four Way AEW Tag Team #1 contender match - OC and the Hook coming out on top. Second most likely winner IMO is the Gunns. As of now, don't see anyone who wins this match winning the tag belts, so might as well roll with having OC and Hook or the Gunns win.
• AEW Tag Team title match - Aussie Open are the NEWWWWWW tag team champions. We need some fresh blood in the title scene, and Aussie Open is great. Kyle Fletcher is arguably the top men's wrestler in the world under 25 and time to start pushing him
• Trios match - Don Callis Family defeats the Golden Lovers/Golden Jets. If they are doing what I think they are doing for the long-term story here, having Omega win wouldn't make any sense. Plus Guevara needs to beat Jericho.
• ROH Championship and NJPW STRONG Openweight title match - Kingston defeats Shibata. Kingston just won the belts. New Japan won't clear Shibata to wrestle. I don't know in which universe it would make sense for Shibata to win.
• Swerve defeats Hangman - both come out looking amazing, Swerve gets the marquee win he has been chasing his entire time in AEW that can catapult him into the main event/AEW title level. Hangman comes out looking revitalized and back in that main event/AEW title caliber level after being largely a background character ever since the Texas Death Match against Moxley
• Danielson defeats Sabre Jr - I think this one goes either way. I don't get the point in having Sabre Jr winning unless AEW thinks there is a chance Sabre Jr will come to AEW whenever his contract expires
• Main Event 2 Out of 3 Falls for the TNT title - Seattle already has two of their hometown boys win in Danielson and Swerve. So they don't need another winning. Christian has restored some luster to that title and has been the best TNT champion since Miro. Let him continue to cook with the title. His corruption of Nick Wayne comes to a head as Wayne acting out of frustration does something to cost Darby the match, either intentionally or unintentionally, just depends on how quickly they want to advance that story.

Barnett match should be shoot-o. Can't honor Inoki without the ism, but this ain't a real tribute anyway. Should be decent

There are way too many matches lmao. But that's a damn TK staple this point. Chiefs/Jets is going to suck so I'll likely be watching more of this than the game though.

They hired some ex-WWE people a while back. The production has gotten noticeably better since then. They still have some bush league moments here and there though.

One year has passed since the chairman passed away.
It was also a year of big changes for me, and it was also a year in which I thought about professional wrestling the most in my life.

Although the countries and organizations are different, no matter what form it takes, the fact that the ``Antonio Inoki Memorial Tournament'' is there is an unmistakable fact.
I will mourn with my own fighting spirit. #wrestledream
