Real talk if you know black history before and right after slavery you would know that many black americans (with ancestors who were slaves in america) also got ancestors who were from haiti, cuba and other parts of the carribean...:mjpls:. Some of their american slave ancestors also ran away from slavery (or when slavery ended) and moved to Canada, Haiti cuba and other parts of the carribean :mjpls:. How you think some gullah folke from america got to cuba..:mjpls:


I wish this was more well known by American Black people.

Patty from 12 Years A Slave was born in Cuba and spoke only Spanish during her childhood. She was sold to the US around the age of 7 or 8. Her mother was born in Guinea.
