OP

Facts don't matter to a certain segment of the board. They operate on the same time that Trump's followers do.
We battled the propaganda for 2 years with FACTS, including multiple threads which included the Pew article and Census data.
Ten times out of ten, the response was smilie, insult, slur. And despite being corrected, MFers would repeat the same bullshyt weeks later.
I keep on arguing with these clowns that it's not 1970 anymore. #ForeignFlag make up a significant portion of our people. Damn near 25% to be exact and growing. It's almost impossible to talk about the Black Agenda without adding immigrant Blacks into the equation now.

The issue wasn't about black immigrants to begin with. There was always smoke for white and Hispanic/latino immigrants, particularly Hispanics/latinos. Out of nowhere it became "WHAT ABOUT BLACK IMMIGRANTS??? YOU HATE YOURSELF BLAH BLAH BLAH" shyt. In reality nobody was thinking about black immigrants or making them the issue because they are a pretty small number compared to other immigrants. For some reason a lot of yall got defensive. Correct me if I'm wrong. Hell most threads about ADOS, FBA, or reparations ain't even made by ADOS or FBA but others always in the kool aid looking to call them divisive. shyt even got others shytting on Black Americans in the name of Native Americans.

A lot of yall be on some other shyt.

Above the fray.

I don't disagree with people advocating for the rights of their specific groups.
My problem is that lying, misrepresenting, or scapegoating Blacks of foreign origin is bullshyt, and doesn't advance their rights one fraction.
You can promote your group's interests without the extras.

Ados just wants allocated resources distributed to them separately since we been in this country 401 year and most non ados been here less than 55

There was never no issue wit non ados blacks being here just make the distinction and dont lump us all in one category when we got a diff history in America

#1 Four million outta 40 million isn't "significant portion" plus all 4 million don't come from the same places with same ideals (see Latinos and Cubans

#2 Who exactly is saying black immigrants don't matter? Ya'll do matter, but, we come to the table with different values and lineage and we should be able to talk about that

For example, 59% of foreign-born blacks from Nigeria have a bachelor’s or advanced degree – a share that is roughly double that of the overall population. By comparison, just 10% of black immigrants from Somalia have earned at least a bachelor’s degree.

I coulda sworn we had a thread on here a few weeks ago categorizing somalians as white in the state of california's education system. But now when they wanna lower the rate of education among Africans they categorize them as black.

These cacs think they slick.

Latinx don't always align on the same values. Just peep the mini-civil war in their community after Biden got elected.

That's my point...they don't agree on thr use of the term "latinx" for example.

Again, "black immigrant" doesn't mean as much as 'Jamaician American' or 'Nigerian American.'

I think if you disagregated the black population, 80% of it would be ADOS, and 20% would be non-ADOS.

I'm curious to see what's the ethnic breakdown in cities like NYC and Miami. What portion of the black pop in NYC is ADOS vs Caribbean?
my guess is 60/40 African American 40% Caribbean or African for NYC and vice versa for Miami.
Miami and Boston have the highest foreign born black populations. then NYC. it's a myth that all of NYC is Caribbean or African

Some of their american slave ancestors also ran away from slavery (or when slavery ended) and moved to Canada, Haiti cuba and other parts of the carribean :mjpls:. How you think some gullah folke from america got to cuba..:mjpls:
