Alright, tomorrow 8:30 am GDP report, we'll know if we're officially in a recession or not. Seems like last thing that could affect the markets in awhile

Thursday - GDP report - we'll know tomorrow if we're officially in a recession 8:30 am Eastern. Apple and Intel earnings
Friday - PCE - Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index
August 10 - CPI - Consumer Price Index - if it's over 9.1%, markets could take a little hit

If no official recession, markets could rally. If that happens, next 12/13 hours might be last chance to get some lower prices. Hopefully it dips some before announcement and if we're in a recession, can get more. If not, at least I got something before announcement. Think that's how I'll play it.

Don't worry, there is no recession as this administration is trying to change the definition every day..

Who knows at this point. I'm puzzled how everything could be going up when rates went up, even tho it was 75 and not 100. They still higher than the last time so not like things have gotten better. Don't know where all this extra money comes from. Rates likely to increase again next time.


Every spike past week has gotten lower so still too early to tell. Could be excitement for the "low" rate hike but who knows how long that will last. It dipped over the next few days the last time in June so gotta see how things look thru the weekend. And also how things look when Asia wakes up.

Think the rates were cooked into the prices (stock and crypto) with actually the markets being happier that Powell didn't raise shyt 100 or more base points. Though we ain't out the waters yet with two more reports tomorrow and Friday.

Though IMO we still gonna go lower in the fall. Interest rates will rise again in September when the FED probably raises rates one more time. Then we are headed to fall where spending will decrease for the holidays and heating costs will surge around the country (plus world now that Russia shutting off the gas).

So we ain't out of the woods yet. Anyway just keep DCAing as always (and go even harder on major dips).

if the market (not just stock market) knows of something in advance it can price it in in advance.

the reason is that if known in advance participants can judge how other participants will react and are already reacting.

they can even ignore signals/movements altogether.

that is until fundamentals overwhelm sentiment.

the economics wiz can explain the details.

and even then the market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent.

Might even start seeing it this next hour as stock market opens up also. TA is a bit iffy during these times but seeing a couple of hanging man candles this hour, especially on BTC and ETH. The next hour and then even the 10am one could set the pace for the rest of the day. Could see a dip back under 22k by the time the stock market closes. If crypto market goes up a lot today then it confirms even more that we may be in bizarro world and should just take profits as best we can in case they tricking us.
