both of you are looking at it from a technical perspective
and not business wise or politically

That's exactly where you have it wrong. Looking at it purely from an economics perspective, Bitcoin has a unique value proposition.

You think the world will readily adopt Facebookcoin? What's in it for them?

Cryptocurrencies are not stable because they don't have universal acceptance or use
Crypto as it is now is back it with US dollars and other fiat that doesn't solve the issue that crypto was created to solve
It needs to detach itself from fiat and still hasnt
All governments and large business don't want these destabilizing changes to currency
These controlling bodies will create their own crypto
Libra is an example
Libra isn't really a facebook coin there are many other members in its association Uber Spotify Coinbase etc
Ease of use and low learning curve will probably make these options more appealing to the average person

Did u see what happened to Ripple(XRP)? After all the hot takes and promising future for it....its now dead and will be off trading platforms in 2021 and that was on eof the top 3 crypto coins in terms of population and overall value

Even legit companies like banks and Amex were using ripple to transfer money. No crypto is safe. Bit coin is the only coin that makes the market move

a couple years :sas1:

Bitcoin's already bigger than all financial institutions in the world and will catchup to gold's own market cap by the end of next year.

But sure, I'm sure it'll all deflate at that point because one dude on thecoli didnt do his homework

I wasnt sold shyt. But to have a top coin in the crypto currency get swiped off the face of the earth tells u how bullshyt the market is. Nothing is safe. Bit coin is the market and will always be. If it dips, so does every other crypto

XRP is fugazi. It's dying because it had a massive target on its back via Ripple making it essentially centralized for all matters and purpose

It wasnt used in any significant way except for trading by degenerates on exchanges.

Every purported "bank" "company" using XRP was PR fudder. It was never real

I bleieve what he is getting at is this and it's true. Bitcoin is here to stay or better yet crypto currency is here to stay but there are definitely exogenistic risk from countries that can alter it's course.

Like say the America government, and it either deciding that cryptocurrency constitute an investment contract. Believe the XRP trial will be a somewhat Howey test in that area. Just read coinbase is getting sued for selling XRP in California.

Until that happens get as much alpha as one can get from the coins!

Xrp being a security only helps crypto remove bad actors. There is no one to sue with bitcoin. No ceo, no company. It is truly decentralized.

Bitcoin has already been classified a commodity by the US govt.

Never said it would go away but governments can alter the course, here I give you one example.

China say bitcoin wasn't a medium of exchange and then boom, that changed. Even though China has no similarlies with a number of countries

Bitcoin was moving freeing in Taiwan before but government came in and said it's a medium of exchange and that it needs to be taxed and no transcations can be made with it without knowing the peooke behind it. KYC wasn't taken out of private companies and made to go through all banks for Taiwan.

Exogenistic risk can't be accounted for as crpytocurencies laws are extremely gray for the moment.
