Every pick cant be a potential star, brehsSlept on it and I’m still dismayed, I’m not as frustrated with the pick. Herro seems like a high floor player and his upside isn’t great but as a solid 3 level scorer, he can have value even if for only spacing the lane for guys like Winslow and Bam. We needed a confident three level scorer so let’s hope he can use the skill
I actually really like the Okpala pick. I think he’s gonna blossom with NBA trainers and spacing. Kids improvement to his shooting is huge. I like his ability to create off the dribble
Waiters looks good but it's easy to look good hitting Js over people your same height and driving to the basket without 7 footers waiting to contest the shot.
Is that Shabbaz Napier in the light grey shirt? His first appearance is at the 0:51 mark???

Let's wait and see. Perhaps the team saw something in him in workouts and decided to pull the trigger since he was their top rated that was still available.
I'm always weary of teams drafting players they didnt workout in the 1st round just because that player slid and fell on their laps. I got burnt by it in 1992 with Harold Miner. Winslow is another example but jury is still out. At least Caron Butler worked out.
Does anyone have a list of all the players the Heat worked out prior to the draft?
As far as Okpala goes after watching his highlights i have a good feeling about this one too. Waiting to see what he does in summer leagues. Dude (physically) looks like What Dorrell Wright was supposed to be: very poor man's T-Mac. At least that's what Riley thought.
You know getting players in shape is Riley's forte. So conditioning will likely not be an issue here.Herro looks pretty good. I like his form both off the dribble and on the catch. If Miami gets his stamina on point and his movement is on point, Winslow and Bam will be killing with assists
Justise showing flashes of what his offensive game could. Midrange, step-backs, penetration, and everything wonderful.
