Well he is a shooter and honestly with the length of winslow rich and airplane mode maybe we needed that. We got the combo players then we got the front court guys for at least now with whiteside still here so it filled a need and we know riley aint waiting for another project player.

Is that JR deal still a possibility to create capspace if butler wants to come here?

I’d rather go for a project than a guy who’s ceiling is solid rotational player. Without a cornerstone player, that just leaves us in purgatory even longer. Jimmy Butler isn’t that guy anyway. We’d be a team that peaks at 48-54 wins who’s ceiling is losing in the semis, maybe the eastern finals if we’re lucky. I’m pretty sure that butler has peaked too. He’s 8 years in at this point and we have a good idea of what he is as a player. He’d be a good 2-3 type of guy, but he isn’t a number 1 and he doesn’t have the durability of one either. He’s missed at least 15 games in 6 of his 8 seasons. Our staff isn’t gonna fix that.

Dude just rubs me the wrong way Never questioned his skills. But even the i'd still welcome him to the squad.
Besides, with what cap room? Or what do you have that would entice PHI to do a sign and trade and send him to MIA? James Johnson? Whiteside? Dragic? Waiters?
I just love how we sometimes throw out these suggestions when we know we dont have the assets to pay for them. WHy stop at JImmy Butler? By not Durant? Anthony Davis? Kyrie Irving?

If you’re serious, we would have to renounce 16mill in cap space and then do a sign and trade which would probably include j rich, dragic, and James Johnson + multiple second rounders

Thats what im saying. Dude is a hard worker and if he wants to be here why chase the stars that just using us for contract negotiation tactics. We all know this team is full of role players to support a star or better yet this year with wade gone for that star to emerge out of the shyt we got. Maybe its justise jrich or dear god even waiters
