They truly think the east is wide open
Conley is old but his game is the type that ages well
He can be like Kidd and play to like 38 and be solid still
They love his leadership and one of the things Riley feels the team is missing badly is a leader
And yes they would want the pick too
I dunno this is just rumors but they aren’t in love with any draft options and want to be in the playoffs next season

I can’t think of a solid justification for Conley or Cp3. Those rumors sound like BS.
If we are trading for an albatross contract, I would rather much take Chris Paul, dude is making 40 mil for the next 3 years, almost the same as us paying waiters, johnson and olynyk, at least we would have a game changer and all star, dude would at least get us 45 wins, plus we bam and justice and jr rich + a draft pick AND D jones, this would be a top 4 team in the east.

This aint 2016 or even 2017 Chris Paul, doggy. He's nowhere near the player he once was. IMO he declined worst than Wade.
And yes our current roster is made up of a bunch of average scrubs. Noone on this team outside of Dragic should be in the allstar ballot at all IMO. Let alone be an allstar. Hassan was more of a 1-2 year wonder who's career we revived just like we did Ike Austin in the late 90s. Except this time we were the ones to reward him with the big contract while Austin's Albatros reward contract hung on Utah's neck.

Back when I was young I was crestfallen that the heat drafted Dwyane Wade over T.j Ford
, since then I stay away from having strong opinions about the draft and just hope for the best. If NBA teams can't even reliably evaluate these guys I have no shot.I'll ride with any pick they make and hope for the best .
