He does have a decent jumper. We've seen it, tho rare. + remember when we drafted him that's what the coaching staff was raving about. Not sure why we dont give him the opportunity to use it more in game.

I think there are opportunities for him, he just seems hesitant to take them.

What’s this I’m hearing about the team being willing to take on John wall with his bad Achilles’ tendon and even worse contract? Please no
I don't see Wall as being completely washed up. He'll never be 100% again but If we can get 75-80% of the old John Wall a year from now and Beal in his prime to pair with Jimmy Butler... I'm good with it.

From what i see they expect Wall to be back in March. Ease him into the rotation during the last few games of the season just to get him warmed up and then we'll see how he goes the following season.

If Wall loses his athleticism/burst he's done. He already has a shaky jump shot and no 3 pt range. With that contract fresh off tearing his Achilles it would be a disaster to trade for Wall

If we can’t get Blake, you have to consider taking on Wall’s contract to net Beal.

Jimmy about to turn 30 and has a lot of mileage on him, we may have just a 2-3yr window w/ him. Next year’s FA class is mediocre, gotta go for it.

Does he? :jbhmm:
I don't recall Butler going on many deep playoff runs with CHI or MIN. His only trips to the 2nd round were 2013 and 2015 and last year with the Sixers. I know Thibs sometimes run players into the ground but looking at it i would think He's rather fresh for a typical 10 year vet.

And where are you getting Blake from? Sources? I don't care for Blake but he's still a very good player. My problem is he's always hurt. He's played a full season once in his career and has played more than 67 games only once (last year) since 2015.

That's crazy... We'll be stuck with Wall's contract and Beal and Jimmy would be surrounded by minimum contracts. That would not make us a contender

Riley Team building 101
- If you build it, they will come. If you get the stars, the surrounding cast will come

I'm fine with absorbing Wall's contract to get Beal as long as we're not giving up more picks.

Just gonna take a leap of faith and trust that modern medicine will get Wall back to at least 80% of his old self.

Thatst a tough pill for Micky's wallet to swallow but something tells me he and Riley and Andy have already had that conversation and Micky is okay with it. Or else they would not have been having these conversations with Washington front office knowing damn well that taking John Wall may be the key to getting Beal

Since 2014, Miami has done a great job at productive players on low money deals(Willie Reid; Waiters, Hassan, J Rich, McGruder), who’s to say they wouldn’t do the same.

Do I think a Butler Beal led team can win a ring? No, but we can go deep in the playoffs ,we’d just need competent role players around them. Assuming we can retain Winslow and Bam, you just need people who can shoot and/or play defense.
