Except Okada is a top tier in-ring talent.

Regarding Jay White, this whole leader of the Bullet Club role also falls flat because it doesn't feel like a tight group. I don't know if they appeared as a stable at New Year's Dash but since they formed the "new" Bullet Club it still feels too much like separate groups, G.O.D + Fale and Yado on one hand, Jay White with Gedo on another and Chase and Yujiro somewhere hanging on. How are audiences supposed to buy Jay White as the leader when half the stable seems to be doing their own thing regardless? There's no stable hierarchy like there is in LIJ and Suzuki-Gun and it is plainly evident.

Okada was New Japan's most promising young lion since Shibata. And he chocked/sucked on his WK debut for his return. But one month later he knocked it out of the park when he won the main belt. And then 1 month later he had a generation-defining match with Naito in Korakuen for the 40th anniversary.

White was never touted as a prodigy when he was a young lion. And he had 1 more year than Okada to establish himself as a player and to this day not even Japanese audiences buy his shtick. If he somehow wins in February he needs an Okada-like performance and then keep the momentum going.

• Ospreay almost killed Ibushi. He looked like Apollo Creed laying on the mat after that Os Cutter.
• Shingo went the fukk off with that finishing sequence
• I wish the heavyweight tag matches mattered... ever

• White vs Okada ended as soon as it was picking up. Still don't believe White but he looked legit at points during this. Needs consistency to keep building this.
• Jericho vs Naito was fun af and my match of the night.
• Kenny vs Tana was great and wasnt as filler heavy as the Okada matches.
• Cyrus calling big Omega matches is lit
• Wrong guy one unless Kenny gone to the E. Kenny needed this but I've given up on the big Omega vs Ibushi match as i think Ibushi should retire after how he looked after the match
