Tanahashi has been on a roll since the ending of the G1, and frankly him getting the title at WK would make the next champ automatically a way bigger deal than the next champ beating Omega would.

And Naito's match feels so pointless. At best he gets his win and the IC title back against Jericho which does nothing for him and only means it will take longer for him to get back in the Heavyweight title picture. Or worse, for whatever reason he loses to Jericho and looks like a total loser.

Side-note: Did we also not just see that JR Tag triple threat at Power Struggle? I know the stakes are different but still, it's the same damn match.

To his credit, he seemed to handle crowd heat well at the Long Beach show and can turn on the unlikeability when he needs to.
