I liked the segment but if this was a temperature check for these 2 main eventing Mania, it kinda failed. Crowd wasn't that into it

I think it was probably a baseline check.
Crowd wasn't as hot for Roman/Cody 2 last year before they kicked into the promo hype gear they found their stride in, gotta assume they think wherever they're at they can increase on. Especially with Punk talking.
I think if anything this was just to tease it but also to give Cody a good promo showing against someone revered for their promos. Did it in front of his home town crowd after he ran in for a save on some straight up Dusty booking, too.

I can't see Cena winning with this little hype going in. Punk makes the most sense, I dont see them running Roman vs Cody 3 or Roman vs Gunther. Could Orton return at the Rumble? I could see him challenging Cody
