Was strange that GRJ never tried going orthodox. Easier to outbox someone with a capable jab and check hook than solely with back hands. Seems like a technically proficient enough fighter to pull it off but never tried

If he was hurt, he shoulda postponed it. You went out there knowing you wasn't right, and this was the result. Magsayo not giving him a rematch if didn't have a rematch clause. Even starting off magsayo was taller and looked like he was game for Russell. I'm not gonna do the what ifs.
The according to his record now, there is a loss on it to magsayo so it is a legit victory. Unfortunately Gary was hurt but we not about to discredit that man.
He was bragging about going into the fight hurt...but that's hist his personality..he thought he could outgoing him with movement and the one hand..didn't work.
No need to discredit but its not a REAL victory like when Jojo Diaz beat Farmer or when Kambosas beat Teo.
I gotta remember to check in and chop it up next fight I watch. It was a close fight but I thought Magsayo edged it out. Matias vs Ananyan tho

Thought it was competitive even before the injury and figured GRJ would pull away eventually
Then he gets hurt and actually fights better with one hand then he was before with two
Don’t know if Magsayo got confused or tired himself out or what. Was several rounds where he just refused to push the action and let GRJ just Rigo his ass with the same straight left over and over. Not mad at the decision but can see an argument for GRJ winning

He didn’t postpone it because he didn’t respect his opponent. He thought he would beat him despite the injury. Fighters have to make decisions like this all the time. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t.

No big deal. He lost and was injured, so heal up and STAY ACTIVE once you do, Gary. I’m not mad that he lost, it’s just all the talking he did about other fighters, being inactive, then proclaiming injury before the fight, losing the fight, and then claiming robbery. Just shut up breh and get it together. Hasn’t been the same since Loma took his soul. @krackdagawd your boy about to be back on top.
