I leave this show wanting to see more of Hurt Syndicate, more of Megan Bayne, more of Stat attempting to redeem herself while throwing hands with the people she wants to forgive her, and more of the eternal battle between 30+ year old bald&beard brehs vs dread brehs.
ButI also leave this show... never wanting to see this show again.
I guess I'll see how it feels a week from now, but like... jesus man. This shyt is kinda draining tbh. It's the illusion of change but basically everyone on the card who was here 3 years ago is in the exact same position they were in 3 years ago. Or a worse one.
Basically no one has been effectively elevated in 1000 days with this company. That's insane. And it's just kinda... sad.
If they at least embraced being WCW Redux, at least it could be fun. But instead, they tell themselves they aren't, while doing the same things.
- Clogging the top of the card with older guys who work limited dates
- building most of the segments around aged stars from yesteryear who won't put youth over when it matters,
- too. many. fukking. factions.
- people carrying titles they don't defend that don't matter.
- 'shock and awe' booking built around blood, mass melees or unsafe stunts
- the same tops guys barely doing anything
- a host of undercard talent people like, but are ultimately treated like jobbers-with-benefits
- and excessive reliance on psychology-less sub-200lbs flippyshyt
