I am so glad I found this site. I came here a few days ago because I was trying to get the Mugshot Music Remixes.

I found some real heads in here. I do think some are being overly critical of SH prior to this album. They have talent and did provide hope IMO. Individually, I didnt think any of them stood out except for Joe with his mixtape work. I am a Joell fan, particularly of his early work and mixtapes. I like Royce and SH is what really got me on Crooked.

I felt that in the past few years they each put out respectable work, but outside of Joey, they all seemed better or at least raised their games when working as a unit.

I loved the first album and the EP, in fact, listening to this new album made me want to go back and pull those out....and I dont mean that in a good way. I want to pull that old stuff out because it is apparent that is the last you will hear of THAT SH, aside from a decent mixtape or two.

The mixtape is better than this album. I expected them to make a few corny joints being that they were with Shady now. A couple of commercial singles and so on. I did NOT expect this though. They sold out, no matter if they had creative control or not. They jockeyed so hard to get on Shady, so ultimately its there fault.

Upon listening to the mixtape, I told people, even if this album has wack beats, its still going to be worth getting just for the lyrics. I was wrong. Cant bear to listen to this shyt.
This album is so bad its ridiculous.

Only good song is Hammer Dance. The album starts weak and ends even weaker. The features are unnecessary, the music is horrible, and the surprising part, the lyrics sound like some shyt they threw together in a day.

I dont agree that they are talentless and didnt make good music before, but they dont need to be anyone who garners support strictly for being hip hop saviours. These guys are the Bernard Hopkins of rap. Complain about the sport and its politics and injustices, but then when they checks start rolling your way....you participate in everything that said you were against and contribute to its further decline and demise.

As long as it's not the kind of virus that makes me purchase this shytty album, I'll be just fine, thank you.

For the record, I hope this shyt sells 10 millions. And then maybe these fukk nikkas can buy a rocket and take their bullshyt music to Pluto.

So tomorrows the big day! I hope all u fakkits realize that if this sells it's goodbye to the old slaughterhouse!

Maybe it's for the better anyway these guys get cornier by the second as a group :pachaha:

see i'm torn. on one side i hope it fails like i wish all pop/alternative rock fake sounding hiphop that isnt cohesive doesnt sale so we can finally get off that and start anew. you have to destroy then rebuild. so until it completely no longer works this pop crap will continue.

now on the other hand i'm rooting for these dudes as individuals. they've been grinding for to long not to get any burn and love from the commercial audience. as well as get paid in the process.

for all we know. Em may have done this to smooth it over with interscope and Jimmy I. like look jimmy dont worry these guys will do all the FLUFF songs you need them to do. in order to get a successful album out there. they're not some super undergroup group of guys that dont know the ropes of major record business..

but em may be doing this now to get all of these corny songs out of the way. maybe he hopes it doesnt work either so then he can tell the record execs "now its my turn to do it OUR way, the hiphop way." think about it. SH is signed for multiple albums. so its not like the label didnt give them money up front. they need to recoup that money and make a few bucks off of SH. and if the commercial super corny angle doesnt work. they will have to go another route. the only other route is to allow these guys to do what they do. make HIP HOP music.
EM and SH might be playing chess and not checkers. we'll see.

I hope you're right but I seriously doubt it. Jimmy Iovine will always be in complete control of Em no matter what. Remember he's the boss! and Em doesn't have a spine nowadays to go against him.

see, the thing that is really dumb about this album is, it sounds like an Eminem album, without Em's lyrics and content. that dont work for SH. you cant gain another man's fanbase by following his formula. if you need proof, look no further than the success of Hell: The Sequel (certified Gold and approaching Platinum) followed by the subsequent commercial failure of Success Is Certain. (didnt even move 50k units). If you ask me, I think this album is going to flop in terms of commercial expectation, then that will leave them with nothing left to do but go back to churning out mixtapes. I just hope for their sakes they really cashed out on this one.

Hell The sequel was a good ep/album. I just dont understand y they didnt just go that direction. Was the bad meets evil ep released through shady? And Royce didnt put no energy in success is certain. He probably just wanted off his label for shady. He shoulda put more focuse into that album.
