Cody didn't need to add his stip in AEW either. They love adding unnecessary stakes raising for no reason because it's not going to get more eyes on the match than woulda been there in the first place. It'll just make it less fun because you're forcing finality, instead of giving us a hope that there might be more if the first match was great.
But this is literally advertizing that there's either not going to be another one of these matches, or if there is, it'll be an obvious winner because we know this man is literally hanging the boots up to work backstage as it is.

but... that said, Danielson going out on his shield from two different companies for the sake of putting over black champions would be some real ally shyt from my GOAT
