My take away is a good feud with A over Jeff hardy where he dominates him at summerslam gets him over more than squashing Hardy last night . Undefeated streaks often put creative into a corner. However his entrance was terrible with all that light and without Scarlett
Because only on WWE if you lose a match your career is over . It’s like with Keith they kept stressing how he has been out of action since January etc I will await the follow up and see where it goes from there

People mentioned in this thread that they know Kross will eventually wash Jeff Hardy lol. But bringing him up with no Scarlett and no lavish entrance just makes him look like 1999 Mike Enos
And it’s good storytelling for Lashley to have backup because Big E could sneak him. It never actually made sense for someone like lashley to have backup til now

An undefeated streak is often an anchor around a characters neck. They rarely work out for the character if dragged too long.
Unless they’ve got some REALLY strong writing for when/how and why they lose the first one.
First impressions are very important though. Especially when they move these guys from

The loss was not an issue in my view, Jeff Hardy cheating to win gives Kross has all kinds of incentives to be pissed off.
the fact they stripped away just about everything that made him special and sent him out there like “good luck kid” is the problem.
Had he had his entrance, bells and whistles and Jeff gets the surprise drop on him I dont think we’re even discussing it because it could be chalked up to over confidence in thinking he’d buzz saw the main roster like he’s doing NXT

The worst part is that he’s the current NXT champion. Like, they need to have Joe choke him out for the belt tonight and send him to Raw and start over for real. Why would WWE bury their own show?
