Omega/Ishii

1. Romero/Kelly: Kelly sounding like Gordon Solie out here. Romero is GREAT as a high pitched voice heel announcer, because it's natural. It's not forced, like Cole or Lawler at his worst. Honestly, it's not even really "heel". He's ACTUAL "color" commentary as a foil to Kelly's "analytical" commentary. And it's fukking great.

2. Red Shoes: nothing goes here cause it's Red Shoes.

3. The Crowd: The crowd is firmly behind Ishii. Nobody really talks about the fact that Omega has the title and Omega/White/Juice got the US belts.... really prolly because NJPW was expanding to the US and Gedo put the belts on some gaijin because of it, barring former Emperor Okada holding the belt longer than anyone. But New Japan is gonna cheer who they want. And 8/10, it's not gonna be some Gaijin.

4. Kenny drooling blood (I been there) and is the undefeated champ in G1. He gonna def need stictches. Ishii is the underdog and perennial fan favorite. I can't get into specifics cause it's too much, but this match was legit something special.

5. I've only said it once or twice here, but..... Kayfabe? Wins Losses excluded? Lesnar, Braun, WALTER, Pentagon? No. Kayfabe, Ishii is the toughest man on the face of the earth.

6. G1 has been the best of the year every year I've watched it.

This makes two years in a row that Sanada beats Yano by countout after putting him in the Paradise Lock. And at first I thought Rocky Romero was a bit awkward on commentary but he picked up hella fast and is already doing better than most professional commentators of today.

Commentary always talks about how "bodies aren't supposed to bend that way", but ZSJ folding up Juice is the first time I truly felt that way.

Naito vs Ibushi was as insane as it should be. I thought Naito had to have either gotten concussed or broken his neck like three times in the match.:damn:

Ishii vs Omega was great but mostly because of the well-deserved victory for the MVP of this G1 Ishii.:ehh:

Last but not least I caught the Elgin/Tanahashi finish botch and immediately reminded myself to stop checking for A-block matches.:hhh:

Omega vs Ishii was fukking ridiculous in the best possible way. A 23 minute sprint - which is insane - with an awesome crowd and an even more incredible commentary team, it was like watching a good episode of DBS.

PS: Remember when we were all :leon: at Elgin after his first G-1? He was good for like a year after that and then it was mostly downhill for him.

Makabe's entrance theme is a cover of Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song.

Ohhhhhh! I see:ohhh:

That shyt just been bugging me out..... reminded me of how WWE treated Sandman’s entrance. Lol

Watching now the Page vs Suzuki match and MAN.....

Between this match and the one before with the aftermath of the Fale match.

Suzuki and Tama are out of control man...... these niccas close to crossing lines and are dangerous in the audience.

Tama had the old man terrified when he put his hands on him:russ:

And Suzuki be snatching and ripping them barriers up careless and recklessly..... I’m just waiting to see a fan get hit. It’s dangerous as fukk to sit there.

I remember years ago when ROH had a PPV here show and a hardcore match was going on and how chaotic it was when they came in the crowd in my section. I can’t only imagine what it’s like in NJPW and LU:whoo:

I'm pretty uncomfortable with Naito's response to his little bro breaking his neck on a stupid move being "drop me on my head twice as much in every match, brehs".
