All these injuries yet they are treating Ospreay like he's a lower mid carder and got him losing. Not realizing or simply not giving a fukk that half the audience don't know who the fukk he is.. or they simply don't give a fukk about putting in the effort to let people know what makes him special. But I feel like (and this isn’t defending them…. Just defending the angle no matter what promotion) this is a tactic I’ve seen one way or another in every company from WCW, TNA, ROH, WWE (similar with the Cody debut) and I’m sure NJPW did it too.

The whole “tune in this Sunday at the PPV to see the mystery opponent” gimmick and way majority of the time it’s dope

I'd agree with you if this PPV wasn't filled with matches that couldn't happen because of injuries or political bullshyt.

This show needs hype and the best wrestler in the company not being able to wrestle because of injury and just telling the people "trust me, my replacement is awesome" does NOT create the same hype as them showing us who the hell it is.

shyt, the fact that they are saving the reveal leads me to think it's probably an awesome wrestler that sadly wouldn't make anyone buy a single PPV (Thatcher, Gresham). So like I said, instead of me wanting to see who it is, I'm way more inclined on either pirating the show or just waiting to read the report and see which match seems worth a damn.

If it ends up being Claudio it would be really stupid to not show him tonight as it would probably warrant much more attention knowing in advance he's the replacement than just having him as a surprise.
