The Revival are NEVER getting released now. And I think AEW is at its limit for ex-WWE guys for now anyway.

Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, Dean Ambrose, Goldust, Jack Swagger, Neville, Tye Dillinger, Trent Bareta, now Matt Hardy and Luke Harper....I think that's about the max they can go at this point, especially as most of them are in prominent positions on the card .

I feel you listing him and yea it’s legitimate..... but let’s be real, do you think he was ever viewed as a WWE guy?:mjlol:

Dude was in there for a sip of coffee and then gone so long they probably ain’t even have enough time to create merch for him:russ:

Also in all fairness too.... Chris, Cody, Mox, Jake, and PAC all atleast washed a little bit of that WWE off them via their trips to other companies first so the only true “straight from” talent guys they have are Dustin, Tye, Luke and Matt:manny:

Either way, that isn’t something for them to even have to worry about for a few more months:ehh:

I didn't hate the show, but... it's so obvious they're mildly afflicted with that Russo mentality of trying to swerve situations just because. On this show, you had Archer, Brodie and Matt all have parts to play. And every fukking single one of them was miscast.

Stay with me for a sec.

Matt shoulda been the Exalted One; point-blank, period.
Brodie woulda been much much better with Jake.
And Having big-ass Archer come out to level the playing field against the Inner Circle on some 'we got a big dude, too, motherfukkers' shyt woulda definitely been a better way to utilize a guy whose whole career has been a testament to how working hard and being big doesn't fukking mean anything if you aren't put in the right angles to succeed.

Him going into the PPV as the Elite's hitter just to say ':mjlol: you thought' and kick Matt Jackson to death would have made him way more than standing next to Jake and having a backyard fight club in a ring hosted by the Oompa Loompa who left the squad and got the gym membership in the separation settlement. Matt running around as the chessmaster of a group of random dudes would not only give them credibility, but it limits what he has to do because he can set himself up as a final boss and not actually need to see anyone until they work their way to him. And Brodie... lawd. If there's been a bigger miss in wrestling this year than putting Brodie fukking Lee with Jake the fukking Snake, it's a close #2 at worst. They both got that swamp-living, shoot-you-if-you-come-on-their-property energy literally exuding from them, and Brodie's voice doesn't match his size, so having raspy Jake get all devious but also abstract for him and let the man's work in the ring do the talking woulda done way more for him than whatever that bathrobe they put him in will do.

shyt is crazy. Like... they had the people, they just shifted slightly and missed the mark on all three. There is a parallel universe right now where there is no COVID and AEW did this right and in that place, the Wednesday after Blood & Guts (terrible PPV name), Archer is coming out to vociferous boos for singlehandedly costing the Elite the first AEW War Games match, Matt is getting to cut a batshyt crazy promo by video from NC while he has the two Dark Order grunts do yard work for him in the background, and Brodie Lee is coming off a PPV win that saw him walking a gator on a leash to the ring and following it up by coming down to the ring on Dynamite wearing a gator-skin coat that Jake uses at the end of the match to choke Jungle Jack into unconsciousness with, clearly building to the Luchasaurus vs. Brodie (ft. Jake) match that people might actually be interested in seeing.

:ehh:

All due respect :salute:and I tip my hat

But Na....

Nobody considers Trent Bareta a damn WWE guy :heh:

And how could there be a limit when literally 90% of the WWE roster are ROH guys?

Exactly..... and how is anyone gonna have the nerve to call AEW TNA 2.0

When the WWE currently already is TNA 2.0:russ:

Oh don’t try to forget that the E also has Borash, Jarrett, and Abyss working for them in addition to all the TNA stars they got with them ROH stars:lolbron:

Trent is 100% a WWE dude to me. He never developed a persona or look outside of that on the indies or in NJ/ROH and he's been "that weird WWE guy who for some reason is best friends with Chuck Taylor" guy for the entire time he's been out of WWE. Which I realize is now longer than what he was in, but he's never shedding that to me.

I realize Matt Hardy and Luke Harper are kind of special cases, but Cody was the one running his mouth about not picking up everyone that gets released because they aren't TNA, etc, and yet they've picked up EVERYONE that's been released or left WWE in the past year, including backstage interviewers and announcers.

If you happened to ask most people though.

They won’t remember him from the E, like I barely remember him from the E and if it wasn’t for his theme song I wouldn’t. I can’t off the top of my head mention one Trent WWE match, not even sure dude made a PPV.

I don’t know who these backstage interviewers and announcers you’re referring too.:patrice:

Also, you wanting to crucify Cody on what he said.:ld:

I kinda have mixed feelings about that.... cuz on one point it’s kinda like “well damn, did it make great sense to make whatever move”?:lupe:

And then I think about all the promises Vince or other companies made/make and think “do we crucify them too?” I don’t know.... that type of judgment is a little too messy for me

Right? If anything WWE is ROH/TNA/NJPW/Random Joshi promotion 2.0

Daniel Bryan
AJ Styles
Adam Cole
Bobby Fish
Kyle O’Reilly
Samoa Joe
Sami Zayn
Seth Rollins
Finn Balor
Kevin Owens
Andrade
Mike Kanellis
Xavier Woods
Eric Young
Roderick Strong
Shinsuke Nakamura
Cesaro
Tommaso Ciampa
Damian Priest
Ricochet
Karl Anderson
Robert Roode
Viking Raiders
Asuka
Toni Storm
Kairi Sane
Io Shirai

But AEW signs a few WWE guys and all of a sudden it’s a crime :mjlol:

I'm not wanting to crucify Cody, but he has a habit of running his mouth and it catches up to him.

Seriously, him and Rocky as Roppongi Vice was the introduction.

He's like CJ Parker, but without being a Young Lion (IIRC)

Maybe, but to me so far “the good” he’s done overwhelmingly outweighs “the bad” and it’s even hard for me to even consider his bad “bad” :yeshrug:

I didn't say it was bad, I'm just saying I don't think they should hire any more WWE anything for a good while (they even hired Miss Sandra the seamstress who was on Total Divas all the time :mjlol:)
