Lethal a great wrestler that debuted in a dumb way and was bushed for weeks. Now it looks like he tagged out Lio who is now headed to the shadow realm. Nothing weird about that observation

Definitely one of their most MEH episodes of late.

This card was way too weak with the roster they have.

- Crowd in general was sleepy and uninterested, and the show didn't help
- Matt Hardy is moving like a 75 year old in the ring. I would say it might be time to hang em up but looks like they're doubling down
- The Acclaimed aint over enough to be out there for 10 minutes with Bear Country
- Daniel Garcia and 2.0 as a top heel act really is a thing huh? I thought it was just a short term thing but here we are.
- The story they told in the Serena Deeb match did not work
- The Punk match and angle felt a bit ... flat? Also is a powerbomb thru a table not a DQ?

I think the table is like the announce table or the steel steps where it's okay if it's part of the environment and you just throw somebody into it rather than actively using it.

 

[Reality Check]

AEW doesn't really have a lucha mentor backstage. They should try and grab Rey Mysterio whenever his WWE contract is up. He'd be someone that could help Sammy and quite frankly a lot of the flippy guys improve.

I think he just reupped within the past year or so and doesn't seem like he's in a rush to leave with his son now a wrestler.

Isn't a flippy guy & work a very technical mat base submission style reminds people of Bryan

The promo he cut on their Youtube preview show was actually pretty decent and he has that killer mentality that would fit perfectly in a Danielson-led table

If Andrew Everett is any good, they should consider signing him. They could even bring him in as Paul Wight's kid (the same way that WCW introduced Wight as Andre The Giant's son). It would be nice to finally have someone on the actve roster who could dwarf Billy Gunn.

...am I missing something here? Because that seems like a tiny flippy dude making jokes about wearing a singlet like Paul Wight (initially billed at 7'4") used to. Unless claiming 7'4" for no reason is just his gimmick, which...I guess?

I've never heard of the guy. He does look like a smaller guy, but the fans seem to acknowledge his height. Maybe they're in on the gag.
