You are a fukking moron

what's different than my pics, nothing, they are from the same source you moron ain't no damn photoshop

also she is clearly MUCH DARKER IN THE FIRST PIC THAN ANY OF THE OTHERS PIC YOU POSTED AFTERWARDS

does even look like the same person

she is clearly much lighter in some pics than other and looks like Beyonce's complexion not dark chocolate like she was in the first pic

you have to be blind to not notice the difference

You are a major dumbass. You were the one claiming that she got darker in the 1970's compared to the 1960's. So if she was lighter in the pics that I posted afterwards(which she wasn't), using your own idiotic logic, wouldn't that mean that she didn't get darker in 70s like you claimed? Isn't the 1970's later than the '60s? And on what picture that I posted was she Beyonce's color? She's not light-skinned or dark-skinned(like your dumbass claimed she was in the '70s), she is and always was brown-skinned.

she is clearly much lighter in some pics than other and looks like Beyonce's complexion not dark chocolate like she was in the first pic

No shyt, dumbass, it's called camera lighting. You can pull up a picture of any celebrity, white or black, in history, and they will have pictures where they look lighter or darker. That doesn't mean, they're bleaching or darkening their skin, it means they're under either light or dark camera lighting. I specifically posted photos and videos of live stage performances where she is under normal stage lighting.

Just admit you were wrong, and take your L. You clearly don't understand camera or stage lighting, nor do you understand what a doctored photo looks like. No need to be a little c*nt about it.

She NO WHERE in that quote said that dark skin held her back. :snoop:

"You know what I had great women in my life to help me overcome that. I remember I went through a period where I didn’t embrace my chocolatiness. I don’t know if that’s a word, but I didn’t embrace my chocolate lifestyle. Just being a chocolate, lovely brown skin girl and being proud of that. I remember being out in the sun and I was trying to shield myself from the sun and [Beyonce’s mom Tina Knowles] said, ‘Are you crazy?’ She said ‘You are absolutely gorgeous’ and she just told me how beautiful I was andhow rare chocolate is and how gorgeous the skin is, all of this stuff. And I was just like ‘Yeah!’ Like a light went off and so and my mother had me sitting out in the sun a little more, just to be a little more chocolate.”

It's the ARTICLE that's inserting their own opinion

It has look at how beyonce and nick minaj are bleaching their skin
I get annoyed how some people even use being dark as an insult. We as black people are beautiful, every shade and skin color. This pitting of different skin colors needs to stop because it only weakens and further divides us as a community. We see colorism even enforced through mainstream media with movies showcasing more light skinned women in positive role than dark skin women. Hell, we even got a light skin women who refuses to classify herself as black portraying Nina Simone in a movie:snoop:. White supremacy has literally been worked into every aspect of our life but so many negroes are too indoctrinated to know it.
Why do people keep spreading this lie?

When I go to the D.R., the press in Santo Domingo always asks, "¿Qué te consideras, dominicana o americana?" (What do you consider yourself, Dominican or American?) I don't understand it, and it's the same people asking the same question. So I say, time and time again, "Yo soy una mujer negra." ("I am a black woman.") [They go] "Oh, no, tú eres trigueñita." ("Oh no, you are 'dark skinned'") I'm like, "No! Let's get it straight, yo soy una mujer negra." ("I am a black woman.")

And while she is not as dark as Nina, Zoe is not light skinned.

It's the truth. She's always been my favorite member since I was a child so I kept a close eye on her activities.
She's just as good, if not better than Beyonce but she can't meet the same success because the rest of the world's mind is polluted with thinking lighter is better. So fukking sad man.
:mjcry:
Beyoncé took the shyt to the next level did what she had to do jelly Rowland may have better natural looks meaning non surgecly enhanced but her voice dance moves cography in her videos pale in comparison to beyonce. Plus beyonce knows how to keep eyes on her marrying Jay Z rumors about her age and what not. She's no where near Michael Jackson status but in terms of being a female artist she's the Michael Jackson of the game right now. Kelly Rollins had Brest cancer a troubled past bad boyfriend who abused her shyt that she couldn't have avoided and shyt she could have avoided holding her back. But I don't fault her it's not like she was lazy. She could have been the next best thing to a beyonce sure, but her voice doesn't poses the same soul. Just the name Beyonce sounds a whole lot better than Kelly Rowland. It's just one of those things where destiny chooses a great one to rise up and do big things. One person that may go through surgery or whatever else to get to the top but if anyone else were to try the same thing it probably wouldn't have the same effect. Beyonce is a woman born for greatness. All that needs to be said really.

well...i agree with Kelly that it probably had a factor but Beyonce is just flat out better looking. Skin has nothing to do with that
Beyonce is better looking and has a better natural voice maybe Rowland's is a better vocalist I doubt it but who knows, Beyonces voice though has that natural soul that comes with it. Her voice in any beat equals gold. She was destined for greatness she surrounded her self with the right people. True Icon in the game right now and probably the greatest of all time female prfomer not singer because of course you have people like Mariah Carey but the total package she's the Michael Jackson of female performers today.

This chick isn't as successful as beyonce cause she's not as good of a singer or live performer as bey. She also doesn't have the star power

Where does she actually say what you have in the title?

It's not even an interview with her just rambling musings about her and some stuff she said as a teenager
:dame:

It took 6-8 pages for this to be pointed out :wow:

kelly rowland was an average artist she was a tag along for beyonce since they were children, this is like one the nsync cacs wondering why they not as big as justin timberlake when they was never the main artist ever

she feels its her dark skin because she has always hated her skin, and been under beyonce's shadow who is light
Kelly does not say dark skin held her back or talks about her career at all. All she speaks about in the quote is learning to love her skin color. This is also a very old quote; I recall reading it several years ago.

That's not true about Nsync. JC Chasez sang more than Justin Timberlake. JC had (by far) the better voice. Justin only had one song to himself (Gone) which he would have been overshadowed vocally if JC so much as just sang even the bridge or the ad-libs.

Justin was more marketable; younger, 'cuter', dating Britney Spears, Timbaland / The Neptunes as his writers and producers and the blue eyed soul image (though ironically, JC had a far more natural soulful voice thab Justin's nasally vocals ever did).

National anthem acapella with JC singing lead

National anthem acapella of Justin singing by himself :mjlol:

Man, Kelly ain't even that dark. She is not the same tone as say viola Davis or Nina Simone. She always been medium brown to me. What holds her back is that her songs suck. Sex sells, but look at their demo. Most people who buy Beyoncé albums are girls and gay nikkas. I don't think dudes thirsting after these singers buy albums. Jill Scott is the exact same tone as kelly (maybe a shade lighter) and she has classic songs and can sells out medium sized venues all summer. I won't ever deny that colorism exists because it does. I just think it's not a big factor in her lack of commercial success.
