The year was...okay. I won't say it was bad,but it wasn't good.

It was just very average. There wasn't too many lows, but there really wasn't many highs.

My top 10 is looking like a bunch of movies I liked but didn't love for the most part.I

It's probably one of the weakest years for best films at the Oscars I'll say that much.

John wick 2 was a disaster. The first one was great.

I'm putting together a list of films I need to watch so I ask @TheGodling

What good non-US made films from 2017 do you recommend and are out on DVD/BluRay?

Late as fukk on this, I have no idea if they're out on DVD/Blu-ray but here's some recommendables:

On Body & Soul (beautiful romance/drama, guaranteed top 5 in my list)
Radiance (another beautiful romance/drama, possible top 10)
Jupiter's Moon (technically brilliant arthouse scifi, possible top 10)
The Last Painting (abstract art thriller/drama, probably not but still a contender for my top 10)

Some lesser recommendables (in my opinion) but still solid:

The Square (arthouse satire about snobs made by snobs for snobs)
Thelma (arthouse Carrie)
Double Lover (French erotic mindfukk thriller)
Racer And The Jailbird (60's Steve McQueen style crime drama)
The Nile Hilton Incident (Egyptian film noir set before the Arab Spring)

Interesting.

If I made a bottom-10 list, both of these films would probably be in the running to make it. Kawase is hit-or-miss - she didn't even hit iron with this one.
