I'm going to chalk your ignorance about the family structure to youth or naivete. Let the previous poster said, Black women have always been in the workplace. I don't know where you get your archaic way of thinking. But I'll share this with you. My brother makes 90k a year, he has 4 kids and his wife was staying at home. Two weeks after he gets paid, he's broke because he was paying all of the bills. He finally told his wife that she had to get a job to help out with the bills. Could my brother manage his money better? indeed. But he has allowed his wife to control the finances, which is a mistake in the first place.
