They are having the worse year in recent Duke history right now.

RJ and Cam were average college players and they are both average NBA players. That squad was fukkin trash lol. Zion was everything to that team and without him they would have been awful for Duke standards.
Call a man that averaged 23, 7 and 3 average in college

People attributing this success to anything other than his own gifted talent are just missing the point.

You don't push Dwight and Gobert, two guys that looked like DPOY contenders at points this season, out the way like its nun, REPEATEDLY, just bc of "low expectations"

Not to mention, the Pelicans look like one of the best offenses in the league every time he's out there. They've looked like one of the 14-16 best teams in the league during Zion's tenure. It's not some we're just happy to be here ATL Hawks shyt

I wont claim to know everything about their roster top down, but it appears there's routine clashes with Ingram and Zion together, and while you could maybe figure out a medium as they've done at times, I think that money is better served building around that frenetic pace Zo and Zion have established. Just IMO

What established stars/defenders has he scored against?

Markkanen? :mjlol:

Felicio? :mjlol:

Kornet? :mjlol:

He's had one dominate game where he's eaten in the paint, in the preseason, against the worst defensive frontcourt, and you think this disproves what I said, which was centered around how effective he can be (in terms of his ceiling) without a jumpshot?
I've never read anything more deserving of a neg train in this forum

Breh, his durability track record is already worse than LeBron.
true, bron has the goat durability track record. especially considering total minutes and games played.

if zion really starts investing in his body and fitness this offseason it's a wrap for defenders. this is truly his only weakness and risk. he could get by with it in college, but pro schedule is way different. especially if pels start making playoff runs.

Zion and BI can work together. BI operates on the perimeter and midrange and Zion in the post. If Russ and Harden can do it there shouldn’t be any issues

I cant cosign f@ggots rooting for a kid that has great potential to fail. Especially young black kids at that. I may root against his team but not him. For example i hate the Knicks with a passion and hope they make the playoffs once every 2 decades but i hope that other Duke kid they drafted does well.

Well enough for him to leave NY and sign his max deal elsewhere :lolbron:

Zion gonna average 25 this season on 50+% shooting

dude can do whatever he wants at the rim

This thread is terrible

Not a chance he averages 25 ppg without a jumpshot, especially not at 50+% (which is an arbitrary nonsensical mark as it is). You're in for a rude awakening if you think he's gonna put up production like that.

:hubie:

Some of the worst basketball minds on thecoli made this a legendary thread....

props to you @Gil Scott-Heroin

Zion 24ppg on 58+% shooting btw....averages under 30 mins per game

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
LeBron (at the same age) only averaged 21 ppg on low efficiency (on a team where he was definitively the #1 option), yet muh'fukkas in here believe that Zion is going to average 25+ points on high efficiency, with a considerably weaker scoring skillset, and most probably won't be the #1 option.

Some of y'all need to adjust y'all expectations; let him grow into the player he'll be, without throwing out all this nonsense that will inevitably backfire.
