You can tell that he is still getting into basketball shape. Every game he looks better and things are starting to slow down for him. Also, he needs to touch the ball every time on the offensive end imo.

This team is young but props to the front office for putting them together. They are having fun and the players compliment each other. The only thing they really lack is a shot blocker.

Also, imagine if they were losing a bunch of games with BI out, people would really be calling Zion a bust

He’s a talent no question, but it doesn’t appear that he’s gonna be this jumping out of the gym once in a generation athlete he was projected to be.
  • Williamson is averaging 25.2 points on 60% shooting for his career. No player to debut in the shot-clock era has ever averaged those numbers through his first 100 career games. In fact, the only players with those numbers over any 100-game span in the shot-clock era are Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, Kevin McHale and Wilt Chamberlain.
  • Williamson (2,524) is the 12th player in NBA history with 2,500 points in his first 100 career games. He's the first player since Michael Jordan to accomplish the feat.

i think Zion is holding back his athleticism to a degree, which is understandable
coming back from missing a year, it would be unwise to start flying around with abandon like Ja.

he has flashes like this (his head clears the height of the backboard)

This ain't the Olympics, why does it mater how high he's jumping? :mjlol:

He needs to be healthy and if jumping shorter lengthens his career, so be it

Zion scores like a fukking dawg and that is all that matters

This pelicans team is good and they are fun to watch. Its amazing what they are doing without BI and sometimes they look better without him.

BI is definitely talented but the pelicans need to find a offensive scheme where everyone can flourish while BI is in the court..imo

Edit: im not saying that the Pels should trade BI either...he is arguably their most talented player

Williamson has allowed 0.85 points per direct pick this season when he has been the screener defender, according to Second Spectrum tracking. That ranks sixth among 68 players to defend 200 or more picks as the screener defender this season.

In 2020-21, Williamson allowed 0.96 points per direct pick as the screener defender, which was closer to the league average of 0.99.

Williamson has also held opponents to 37.4% shooting as the contesting defender, a mark that ranks fifth among players contesting 10 shots per game this season.

Zion clamping down :wow:
