Which is crazy to me because he’s like the biggest HS player in years.

#1 at his position coming into college

hes played like this for awhile too.

His body control is crazy for how high he jumps and how big he is, he actually manuevers around bigger guys extremly well and extremely fast

I’m more surprised he hasn’t broke a rim yet. nikkas act like Zion is uncomfortable playing against taller guys as well... he’s not

He’s gonna catch a body at least once a night
This ain't the 90s, everyone got breakaway rims these days

Can't take the stats seriously from these games, but you can get a glimpse at his skill development.

Still an impressive ballhandler, still has good vision on the move as a passer, still going to be unstoppable in transition and at the rim, nice to see him go coast-to-coast a couple times I think those plays will be big for him. Athletically nothing needs to be said, I don't know if I've ever seen something like this kid outside of like Miami LeBron. The off the charts leaping, more strength that most centers, ability to use that weight, incredible quickness, very nimble, shifty, he's got it all.

What I've always loved about Zion's game tho is just how he plays. He seems to combine an infectious lovable personality laughing and smiling all the time that draws his teammates together, but he totally switches against the other team to a murderous intent like Jordan/Kobe/Westbrook. The combination of both mentalities is special and should not go underrated

Nice to see him knock down those open jumpers off the catch. Still not perfect mechanics, could still use a little more arc, but this is clearly progress since high school which is good to see. If he can knock down his FTs at a good rate this year and make that semi-consistenly he'll be a phenomenal prospect come draft night

Base a warm up exhibition game brehs

What exactly do you expect to change in a few months? This team can not shoot. Your best player, RJ, took 30 shots to get 34 points against some scrubs. For context, here are the shot attempts for every 30 point game Bagley put up last year: 19, 20, 17, 14, 21, and 23. You're fooling yourself if you think what we saw last night doesn't cause a little concern moving forward, especially in conference play. Can't wait to see this dribble drive, your turn/my turn, bully ball offense against Virginia's pack line defense. And most of all, I can't wait to see them try to match those hard to earn 2's with UNC's three point shooting trio of Williams, Luke, and Cam. I saw enough to know that Dook is gonna get the doors blown off of them by UNC.

I never said he was on their level as prospects. From a physical perspective, who can you compare Zion to? Having the mentality of those guys is great and a special trait, but that doesn't assure him of anything. I don't even have Zion #1 this year, he's #3 at best right now

He shooting jumpers too:ohhh:
History shows when a great is on the the verge of retiring(Lebron)one enters to pick up where he left off.
Not saying its him but he got my attention...

Bron got at least 6 more years left on his tank. Not at the level we been seeing as of late but im saying a couple of years of 20ppg, 6rpg, 6ast towards the end. We probably will see Bron and Bronny in the same game at some point.

they had no tre jones and no cam reddish fool. with the full roster available, UNC will be food.

And they provide what? More dribbling? You realize they took 53/81 shots? What made Tre's brother so good at Dook is he had a big man he can feed the post to, he provided ONE consistent ball handler, and made timely shots. RJ needs the ball to be effective, Zion needs the ball to be effective, and Cam is probably the best college player of the three but I don't see him being featured in this offense. I'm not hating. These guys are pros. But they will get embarrassed this season more than you'd imagine. Their only shot of being real good is to be savages on defense. But looking at that bench, I doubt they'll be that. There's probably not a single starter on that team that will make 30% of their threes this year. Keep thinking a senior laden team with two 40% three point shooters and Cam Johnson at 34% won't give this team fits. Not to mention, UNC bigs are better than Bolden. Nas shared the floor with both of those cats on the all star game circuit and walked away as the best player on the court. Coby a walking bucket, so I'll take him over Goldwire any day of the week as the first PG off the bench. It's just a bad matchup. These all star teams that K and Cal are throwing together are cool for winning the offseason. But they're bad matchup fits to win games at a championship level in college.

Bro Zion does not need the ball to be effective:mjlol:

Only time Zion has the ball is on last minute plays or off a turnover HE initiated and he's pressuring the defense in the open floor

This isn't Zions first time playing with a true PG. Zion plays just as well off the ball and off putbacks. Kid can do everything and is not ball dominant, I wonder why you nikkas never seen him play because y'all talk like y'all haven't.

RJ...something I can’t put my finger on worries me. I feel like he doesn’t have any lights out skill where you say, “he can do X really well,” yet he always finds a way to produce. He gonna need to develop some moves cuz he won’t be able to overpower everyone in the NBA. He has no range on his jumper and is not someone I’d trust to handle the ball too much outside of half court in the NBA.

That said, I hope he continues to be successful.

He'll be ok,it was an exhibition game...He was trying to force shots in front of his family...An exhibition game doesnt take away from what i saw with the national team and U19s...
