so they cant put reigns in the main event

they cant put brock in the main event

they cant put cena in the main event

they cant put part timers in the main event

they cant put legegends in the main event

they cant put nxt guys in the main event

now we gotta add dolph and seth on the list of people who cant main event?

maybe the problem isnt the E....

There's no denying WWE has done a horrible job making PPVs and matches matter, making the crowd care about what happens in the ring. But this isn't an either/or situation, at this point both WWE and the fanbase are fukking rotten.

Only way to make it better is presenting a better product and go back to dictating the reactions you want, the responsibility to do that lays on the side of WWE . But we can't ignore the fact that "hardcore"/PPV crowds are almost impossible to please, and they deserve criticism too.

Actually the ‘E IS the problem. They’re the ones that created this type of environment. They spent years undercutting pushes, over-pushing people, putting on a poor product and micromanaging everything possible (even crowd involvement) and this is what they’re left with. They don’t have anyone to blame but themselves.

This is exactly how I feel about it. WWE did this to themselves. Over the years theyve conditioned what remains of their crowd to believe that nothing in the ring matters because it can all be retconned at any time, and they’ve encouraged the over-chanting by doing things like putting the crowd saying ‘YOU DESERVE IT’ in their ads for WWE Shop.

Plus, They’ve ran off almost all the normal fans (look at an old crowd versus now to see what I mean) with the BS you’ve mentioned so they’re left with almost entirely hardcores and super nerds.

Oh I most def understand about the crowds (even crowd signs), I've been talking about it for awhile. There's a massive difference between this....

and this....

The WWE killed off the 1st video's type of crowd reaction and involvement and gradually curtailed it to the 2nd video, and it's almost 100% from their own doing.

If you can't seem to have a good main event scene, sure you can blame talent, but fingers should be first and foremost pointed at booking because having a shytty main event with Seth Rollins having the year he's having doesn't make sense.

I loathe the fact that people always go after the fans in situations like this instead of the mediocre and lazy booking. This didn't happen during last month's NXT takeover Chicago with the fans. The fans at the Takeover even shut down the whole beach ball thing due to the crowd being enthralled with the in ring action. You can't book the same match two weeks in a row on cable then bring on an Iron Man match after most of the dope spots have already have been seen. Main roster booking is crap.....plain and simple.

Did you see the show on Sunday? The fans didn't have a reason to be as annoying as they were for what they were given. Reigns didn't main event, and he even jobbed in a good match. Then you had Rusev vs AJ that was a dope match between two favorites but they were dead up until the finishing sequence. The main event featured a guy the fans have loved this year in a "workrate" type of match and they gave up on it after 5 fukking minutes before any horrible booking had happened.

They were annoying a$$holes just because they wanted to be. At this point the relationship between WWE and it's paying US audience is that of a horrible parent that raised an annoying kid that does anything in his power to grab their attention.

"WWE has it coming" doesn't excuse the fact that fans are un-fukking-bearable most of the time these days.

Everything im reading says the general crowd wasnt fuking with it outside rusev and lashley

The hardcores and "nerds" make up the NXT crowds too and the PPVs rarely get sabotaged. :yeshrug:

They didn’t do it to AJ/Rusev, they didn’t do it to Daniel Bryan. There’s a lesson to be learned with that. The audience literally can’t be in the wrong.

They weren't cry babys for AJ/Rusev nor the Bryan match, but they were as boring as any middle US town for a random Smackdown. Like, we shyt on boring crowds all the time, Pittsburgh was one AND were trying to get themselves over. I fail to realize why they are exempt of any criticism. It's not like I'm saying WWE is doing shyt right either, they both were horrible.
