I've been an Aaliyah fan since her first album and at first I thought the casting was an error. I say give her a chance tho. She has the same fun/mysterious personality Aaliyah had and the looks, although not the same, have similarities. Plus Zandaya can actually act and sing good enough to make the movie watchable. Some people would rather have an exact replica and sacrifice the talent and then the movie would be fukked up. The only thing is, Aaliyah deserves better than a Lifetime movie. I think the response TLC had from their VH1 movie would be a better outlet. Then again, it's been 13 years and a whole new generation has been raised who really doesn't know anything about her. I'll watch out of curiosity.
