If Allister Black doesn't ask for his release after this. Cokeboy might see it as weak. Then he'll bury him even more than he has just to remain petty king. It's also possible he might push him now to spite Zelina (he has a weird way of thinking). Honestly, you just never know with that guy :manny:

Put it this way. If YOU ran a wrestling company and the people signed to your company jumped on a twitch stream every night talking about how you run shyt and making money from that stream are you going to just be cool or asking for your cut. Its people talking about your company's inner working making money from that. Have some of yall thought this through?

yall stanning these carnies. :francis:

She'll be fine.
If I told them they were independent contractors then I wouldn’t be tripping also there are other ways to handle this than to try to ban them from having a account. I would just make them go by their real names. It’s not like.. oh wait wwe be trying to own real names too. But it’s not like Vince gives a shyt about kayfabe anyway, this is such a petty thing to do. Again it’s a pandemic, they are losing money by not touring and they are forced to be in the house more than they are used to and you can’t act like them getting money on the side is hurting your business at all. Wwe had their biggest profit this year but they tripping off twitch streams. Naw fukk that, that’s not good business.

another thing, as a public figure it would be weird to go on any platform and not talk about the thing you are most known for. It’s not like they work for a private organization
first. yall are acting like WWE doesn't have a legal team with a working knowledge of labor and contract laws. 2nd, yall keep talking about this shyt ONLY in wrestling context. Like i said, if you ran a company and somebody jumped on twitch everynight discussing the innerworkings of your company AND making money from that you're going to demand they stop or ask for a cut. It's not that hard to grasp.

it’s corny.

wwe is a public company they can’t be petty and expect their talent to not talk about anything wrestling related, when that’s what they are most known for

it’s corny

they aren’t enforcing a rule they are sending a message that they control these people while they work for them.

they are saying you are a contractor but you, you pay for your own travel, you pay for your own medical but god forbid you try to make some extra money on the side. Vince wants these people to need him. This isn’t about business, this is ego, this is petty and it’s corny

I’m sure she will be fine. It it’s the principal

has a wrestler ever taken Vince (or Dana White) to argue the legitmacy of their designation as independent contractors. It seems like the independence applies to one side because the WWE or UFC can let you go whenever they deem fit.

conversely
they want to own your image/likeness
decide who can sponsor you
and now the WWE wants a cut of money you make outside of the WWE

how has this shyt stood for so long
every other major sport has a union and collective bargaining. Does the E in WWE let em get away so much? Or is it simply that once you make it to the E its fulfilment of a lifetime dream & you are making so much more than working the indies that what they ask is a fair trade-off?
Closest we ever saw was Brock who defeated Vince in court for the right to wrestle in NJPW after he walked away. Ironically enough he screwed them over too

again, WWE has a team of lawyers that advises them. All we, fans on the street, know is what alot of dirt sheets speculate about contracts. Also, the whole money on the side thing gets quickly disproved when you see someone like Sasha making Star Wars money.

But yall have to understand specifically with this streaming shyt, you can't be hanging out at the "thunderdome" all day then jumping on twitch talking about the behind the scenes shyt about WWE and expecting nothing to ever happen. You think AJ Styles should be talking about this type of stuff on a twitch stream and possibly making money and calling this something different than or independent of WWE? If he made money off of this he technically made money off of his status as a WWE contractor. This is really not that hard to grasp again.

I just don't feel sorry for these people. :yeshrug:

I don’t think you understand what I’m saying. I’m not trying to win an argument all I’m saying is you don’t need to control someone’s social media account like that to the point you fire them. It’s not hurting your company. It’s petty. Sorry I will never feel different.

I’m tired of us excusing shytty morals because business. The best thing about all this working from home is the ability to multi task and take on a second stream of income. If I’m a mid carder and I’m not making enough money from my contract I should be able to do something on my own to make a little money. WWE has gone out their way to shut this down and that’s corny. Idgaf what the rules say we are in a unique time. And not to mention that chick worked all through the quarantine when she did t have to. I can’t respect their POV.

SPECIFICALLY WITH A PLATFORM LIKE TWITCH WHERE YOU ARE MAKING MONEY...you can't just be jumping on a stream talking about the inner workings of WWE, then claiming that's a completely independent thing from WWE.

Yall just talking like some internet wrestling community dudes. SMH. I'm looking at it from the legal point of view and from common sense. If i owned a company, and one of my employees got on twitch making money talking about how i run shyt, i'm going to demand they take it down or I'm taking a cut since you talking about MY shyt. Or that person can just get terminated.

And yet RACIST HOMO ass Lars Sullivan is still employed :unimpressed:

Fixed that for you.

Taking away everyone's outside sources of income, then firing someone who wouldn't let you take away their unaffiliated revenue stream and saying they supported unionizing is such a terrible, terrible look for WWE. Hopefully this gets some traction in the media and hopefully other talent tell them to get fukked and keep their set ups outside of the company.

I hope this burns WWE. Vince was petty for stopping them from getting outside money. Greedy fukk he his.
