Yeah definitely a thankless position. Only when you DON’T do your job, everybody notices.

Basically a space-eater. You give up the shine so the cats behind you can get it (LBs) but when you’re good at it, EVERYBODY’S job is easier.

You taking 2, maybe even sometimes 3 guys and holding them up, now there’s more free roamers to hunt the ball or QB… (not saying like you didn’t know this)…just talking it out it seems like a lot. But I’m telling you, when you got good, even great interior linemen, you can do soooooooo much more on defense…
