as a person who almost got locked up forever... you don't need to be selling it to get these chargesthe guy has stupid money, like high 8 figures...he gonna sell some tree for profit?

the actual charge they hit you with is "intent to distribute" ..... now while arguing with the cops, i told them that i was growing some weed for my personal use. i make enough, i wasn't going to sell it, and it was more cost effective to grow
the cop explained it to me very well. distribute does not mean sell.. it simply means i would give some weed (or any drugs) to another person..
"hey man let me get a blunt off you for the road" - distributing
"hey bro let me roll up some of your shyt" - distributing
"hey take a hit off my shyt, it's fire" - distributing
as long as they think or can prove, that you intended to transfer ANY of that weed to another person, free or not, it's a distro charge.
