You have elite A-side fighters like Floyd and Manny who are just better than the rest of the fighters and can make a lot of money. You also have fighters who are some of the best fighters like JMM, Martinez, Ward, Donaire, but can't sell out and make millions. These guys are world champs with top level skills and talent.
A B-level fighter is someone like Bradley or Canelo. Braldley is a good fighter, but is not an elite fighter and will never sell. He was clearly better than anyone when he was at 140. Bradley has the skills and talent to compete with other fighters in the same skill level. Then you have a guy like Canelo who has the potential to be a big star, marketable, and keep improving. Is Canelo an elite fighter? Not even close, but he is getting better every year. Ponce would fall in this category.
Baldomir is probably the greatest C-level fighter of all time.

Nah, Gatti is a B-level fighter with the heart of a champion. It's disrespectful to call Gatti a C-level fighter. Baldomir was never suppose to win a title.
Ponce would fall somewhere in between B-C level fighter.
