I disagree that Z-Ro has been putting out anything more than low quality music
Do you know what song he sampled "Smokers Anthem" from? It was an old school song, I heard it a couple of years ago on the radio and I think it had the same beat but I know he took the hook melody from it
I swear I've been looking for this for years now but the one I heard was a woman and it was more like reggae. The Isley Brothers - Smooth Sailin' Tonight (Live Version) - YouTube
its jus a reggae/island version of the live version
ro loved the isleys even in the crooked mind stuff i posted...the same elements is in it

Facts. One of my favorite's doing it. He's got tons of quality material. The only problem, is when these random labels he was on release an album like it's new, when it just has recycled shyt all over it.
Him and Trae are great together. All that old Guerilla Maab shyt is classic, and that ABN album and mixtape are dope too.
Ro is one of the few artists that can REALLY pull off the deep shyt. Like, most of these cats that try, it just doesn't sound...I don't know...sincere? But when Ro gets on it, you can really feel that shyt. That's why I'd love to here him and Budden on a track (I'm pretty sure Joe was trying to get up with Ro, but only for a hook IIRC). They need to go ahead and do something.
Can somebody please tell me the definitive Zro album I should start with, as someone who's been looking to get into him for years.
Daps in advance.
