I’d be shocked to make it out Round 1 without an extremely favorable matchup with Randle leading. This team will be mediocre for a while. I don't expect them to make it past the second round if this dude is the best player on the team over the next 5 years. And I'm willing to make a ban bet on that prediction.

You looking real foolish here
why would a team that went from 4th seed suddenly drop down to the 9th/10th seed even though they’re bringing the same players and got back even better players in Fournier, Kemba, Mitch
Boston has made zero moves and are bringing back what is essentially the same roster without a pg
Chicago couldn’t do shyt with Zach and Vuc and it’ll take some time to gel with demar
Charlottethey’re gonna be fun but they’re one Hayward injury away from the lottery and we know he’s made of glass
and honestly even Miami ain’t scary like that
you guys are also not going to be the second seed. I’d wager 4th seed for y’all and we’ll be around 5-6
Chicago and Charlotte won’t be good defensive teams.
What would you prefer we do, give him $40 million a year next year or let him leave as expiring next year? The deal pretty much established the Knicks aren’t winning shyt this decade.
tobias harris out here making 180 over 5 years.
it's a good contract.
rudy gobert got 200+ mill and literally was exploited explicitly on defense (his best skill) in the playoffs.
where his contract is in relation to his production last year...its a good deal and gives way for the knicks to have flexibility down the line
clearly julius needs to improve but this is the price of doing business.
Im not tryna hear nothing about a john collins in comparison to julius...cause that man would be dog shyt as a 1 option trying to carry a team at the bottom of the league in salary cap.
they paid that man based on how good trae young makes him.
we need more talent down the line in order to go anywhere.....but I'm just looking forward to more progression this year.
progression isnt linear either.
???Correct, progression to a 6 game first round series loss from 5 games is still progress
to you for being the first to admit it
I think you underestimating the Knicks too much like some people underestimate us. They got a very good team and many players who fit the system. They won't be as good defensively as they were last year but they will be better on offense and the overall balance should help them more than hurt them. We gotta remember, their bench is generally how they beat teams. Especially since the Rose trade. I would say the east is a 6 team race. The same 6 teams from last year but everybody is much better outside of the champs and Philly. You giving these guys too much credit. This is a play in level team next season. I’d take the
MIL
ATL
BK
PHI
MIA
BOS
CHA
CHI
Indy/NYK gonna be battling for that vaunted 9/10 play in positioning if all goes well for them
At the end of the day it’s a Thibs team. Which means the team will defend and grind regular season victories. Our offense on paper is much better. So I don’t see those teams seeding above us.I agree with you but I’d bet on Lavine or Ball doing more damage in the playoffs than anyone currently on your roster
If this isn't sarcasm I'll rep....I think you underestimating the Knicks too much like some people underestimate us. They got a very good team and many players who fit the system. Boston still got a couple of moves which can bring them into the convo and Chicago has to prove it first as we did and the Knicks did last year.
the problem is, his first season with us he played in front of a crowd and was terrible. It isn't like he's played without a crowd for years it was just last seasonHe'll be fine
