I hope this sparks a conversation on how destructive this behavior and CULTURE is. If you are from the street, living in the trenches etc you're dealing with shyt I can't judge you on. That's your reality and you're just trying to survive. But most of us grew up knowing black kids from the suburbs or a decent home who spend ridiculous amounts of time pretending to be from the gutter. Whether to impress girls, to impress white kids, or whatever else. Those are the kids who disrupt classes and ruin great opportunities trying to imitate a lifestyle they know nothing about. If we can have a conversation on Ja we should be able to have a conversation on the thousands of other young boys who act exactly like this despite being from good homes and living in decent-to-good neighborhoods.

Moving to Houston from New Orleans was a huge culture shock for reasons you're describing. It was blowing my mind seeing brothers coming from 2 story homes in nice neighborhoods with two parents behaving like this. Brothers that literally had their own bedrooms and everything growing up talking about jumping off the porch.

:wow:

Out of my element.. :mjlol: and this the shyt I’m talking about. Looking at you grandstanding and gatekeeping this street life :mjlol:because you claim to have been “in that life” . Like all street nikkas and gangstas are is just bad ass kids who turned to adults who still misbehave and have to be put in grown folks time out because they don’t know how act civilized…Ain’t no honor in that shyt…

And I said he moving like a dumbass but it’s the negative culture that he emulating, the same culture that y’all praise.

Not "claiming" to have been from that; its because I've actually lived that way that I can say what I'm saying...

I can tell when dudes are just talking about the streets secondhand or third party and when dudes are speaking from lived experience...

You gatekeeping Ja's right to crash out on some dummy shyt, if you're not condemning him you're accepting him, period. You don't get it my guy and it's all good!

I’m just saying you can’t romanticize the street life and get mad when people want to emulate it..,people cant have it both ways.

Even you are glorying the same street shyt…so dnt get mad when people want to be seen as about that life as well…what so good about living that life anyways. You should be a proud square but instead you talking about “I really lived it” nawl u apart of the problem brother.

I feel like JA just being immature and corny but i still don’t get the pearl clutching. Corny nikkas are a dime a dozen tho.

It really is crazy out here. I saw it at my high school too. Dudes that grew up in a two parent suburban family homes, both parents college educated and successful, never had to want for anything in life, got the resources to be anything they want to be…and they want to cosplay as a Blood or a trap nikka

With all the "I'm glad Ja is finally getting the help needs" talk you'd think he checked into rehab. He's not going through addiction or mental health issues. Like Wallo said he's "just a nut ass nikka with a gun." The league should sit him down for as long as it takes to figure out who was with him and ensure they don't travel to games with him.

The dummies are acting like they can't suspend him until a crime is committed. If a crime takes place it's too late. Imagine the PR nightmare that would happen if one of the faces of the league gets into a shootout and TMZ has the footage. I guess y'all don't believe in preventative measures.
Yea this shyt is terrible. And it’s more of a society thing. Where people are PR robots.

‘its a tough time right now, but we’re a family we’re gonna embrace him and get thr help he needs’ .

The way they were talking you could have put ANYTHING in that space. Lost a family member. Beat his wife, caught a DUI, speeding ticket. It’s such horsheshyt.

Probably like 40 percent of street dudes come from good family

Does Ja still have his friends shooting dice on NBA court?
Pack? That nikka got banned for a year.
Wait, that actually was his peoples with moneybagg yo n them?! :picard::lupe::damn:

If so this is WAY more serious than even we’re making. That whole ‘he from the suburbs’ thing is old news. If he’s around them Memphis rappers them mfers are active, bodies being dropped regularly, on-site beef where even breadwinners are getting knocked off.

If he’s close to them Memphis rappers he’s in bigger trouble than we think
