Yeah,a bit of a hassle but a way I circumvent this is to replace “watch?v=“ with “embed/” in a youtube link. It only works for the desktop site not the mobile, so one should make sure that “request desktop website” is turned on in the site settings.

that Newpipe app & Skytube got me covered and i dont have any adds at all only draw back is i cant comment but i dont even do that on reg YT.

I use youtube thru the safari app because adblock works with safari. this allows you to use PiP the same way twitch works.

Aight so I tucked up now every time I click a YouTube link it defaults to safari YouTube not the app. You know how to fix that bro?
