:wow:Back when the internet had soul and wasn't ran by soulless corporations. In my personal heaven, Myspace would be back in its prime, internet forums would be thriving, and chat rooms would be a popping.

Now we are living in hell. It's sad when I go on the internet and treat it like cable with nothing on the bytch:unimpressed:

Kinda went downhill when Google owned YouTube.

Youtube and justin.tv (before it became twitch) were GOAT back then. The marathons of sports, shows and wrestling:wow: Now you need a subscription service or iptv to get that sort of content.

When cats used to be on the 2K forums uploading grainy cheese clips from their flip phones before capture cards blew up:mjlol: Those were the days :flabbynsick:

Remember Google Video? Google Video - Wikipedia when they tried to complete with youtube at first before they bought them that shyt was barely moderated and wild as fukk

early youtube, myspace, stickam, tinychat, photobucket, tagged, crushspot, ning, all the homegrown sites man that era is sorely missed

This shyt was on C-SPAN?

I used to watch CSPAN back in the day with Book Notes and Book TV. All kinds of crazy shyt, town halls, etc. I watched this one conspiracy guy talking about how the US had a network of cables laid on the ocean floor that could create oscillations that generated earthquakes :lupe:

Most of it is dry political coverage, but the weekend is when they started showing the more unusually stuff

Ahh yes. The days when you could download whole albums on blogs like the Smoking Section. Software & passwords on warez sites :blessed:. Or watch beheading vids on ogrish (liveleak) :whoa:

The best day of these guys lives, but not for us:beli:

Man, I don't remember none of that porn or snuff films being on youtube, But I distinctly remember being on The IC at Allhiphop.com when all the sudden out of nowhere the forum got blown up with youtube links (mostly music videos) and thinking "This Youtube thing is the shyt!". Now look how far it's come. I also watched a few full movies on that bish, They had nearly every episode of WWF Raw & WCW Nitro from like 1996-2000 on there for a while too. :lolbron:

A time before ...

"Content creators" flooded YouTube with their tons of ads trying to make a living out of recording videos. Please subscribe, please hit like, please follow my other social media accounts for a chance to win this free item I'm giving away...

All these copyright laws and shyt being taken down with the quickness.

Before major companies and artists were on it, it felt a lot more like a local community for the average Joe.

A time before click bait.
