They basically said in 4 months any content that they or their algorithm decides is for kids won't have any targeted ads on it, no comments, can't be added to playlist and no notifications.
So what if say a YouTuber had a Pokémon dedicated channel? That's franchise is popular with kids. Are they then gonna say all Pokémon content on YouTube is blacklisted going forward because they don't know who is watching so they assume it's a child?
One of the creators I watch AbdallahSmash does a lot of Nintendo content and keeps it clean so he's family accessible. This puts a bullseye on his back because kids can and do watch his content.
I guess that's what some creators get for making content that's family accessible. YouTube is slowly being destroyed. Pretty soon nobody will know what content they can make and have it be acceptable.
