Where does the line get drawn though? Even if you think anti-vaxxxers are stupid, we shouldn’t celebrate this level of censorship.

Anti-black white racists can go unchecked 24/7 though, and post their vitriol with little to no repercussion.
This is always a conversation starter. I will say, I'm not sure if it's a lack of imagination or what, but everyone questions censorship and no one questions where the line gets drawn in terms of misinformation and social media.

Yes, if censorship goes overboard, we can turn into 1984 or CCP as a worst case scenario... but is it possible that there is a worst case scenario for misinformation that we are hurtling towards unless we put measures into place? Is it possible that some censorship is a good thing a la post-Nazi Germany? They have seen the problems of misinformation in a way that the US never has.

We are living in a time where people are willingly dying because of misinformation and yet, the conversation drifts towards the opposite extreme, (which is currently a hypothetical) of mass censorship.

I dont know of you're purposely stating this but anti-vaxxers are not "stupid". They are dangerous and a threat to public health, especially during a global pandemic. And let's not act like there aren't overlaps between anti-black uploaders and anti-vaxxers.
Are these incel CACs not equally as dangerous? They make all their women hating videos, and mass shooters get inspired by them. Yet nothing happens to them until the the damage has already been done.

Who decides what’s misinformation when most mainstream media outlets are untrustworthy?

Im pro vaxx but I dont know how I feel about this move

it plays right into the anti-vax internet celebrity's hands
ALL of them do nothing but talk about censorship and the government taking over

it makes them look right

sometimes you have to let people play themselves
There's no win win, this isn't a political debate. Covid is a health crisis.
Anti Vax would never be converted , they would always find something to be Anti about.

Youtube has every right to take whatever stance, it's not a public utility or a gov agency. People forget this. Youtube /Google doesn't owe anyone

When does questioning become “anti-vaxxx”? This is the line I’m talking about. Should any kind of aversion to vaccinations or questioning it lead to
Automatic censorship?

There are questions to learn, and questions to purposefully sow doubt. They break it down here:

Who decides what’s misinformation when most mainstream media outlets are untrustworthy?
There needs to be a discussion around that for sure.

But the idea that 'any censorship is bad' is not tenable in the world of social media. When truth becomes a popularity contest, the most viral content is just the most outrageous shyt. Plandemic is a perfect example of that.

Previously, governments controlled truth and now it is shifting towards other entities. The point is that there needs to be trusted sources available to make these decisions and not just let the world turn into a free-for-all where whoever has the most followers can purposefully spread falsehoods without repercussions.

it can make things worse though.

IMO this whole anti-vax thing is about people feeling left out of the system...and its something that needs to be addressed.

How everyone is going about it now (youre wrong, im right) isnt working
