Youtube Comedian gets massive backlash over "fat shaming" video...whats your thoughts?

an "attractive" white woman thought her privilege would get her views and props but she forgot most white women are fat and hate fat shaming so she got that work.

You're not gaining anything by making fun of people. If you're fat you already need and want to lose weight. The majority of people don't want to be fat. It just makes you look like a horrible person by making fun of people. You have nothing better to do but act like a 7th grader.

I know people who came at this fat person in the most respectful way. Stats, articles, easy start up work out routines even said they would do everything with this person.

What do you think the fat person did?

I actually think they want you to come at them sideways, just to attack the way you came at them instead of the actual problem. Classic woman strategy.

The majority of people who fat shame don't even care about the person they are shaming they just want to be mean and hurtful. If you really cared about that person losing weight then you would suggest them better food options and go work out with them. A woman making a random video shytting on fat people does nothing. She would be better of making videos on healthy food options, excercises, and meal planning. There is nothing productive about name calling and if this is someone's method then they have issues.

There is a double standard when it comes to judging men but I also understand that shaming a group of individuals for certain traits or behaviours never leads to any constructive change in the targeted group.

There are more effective ways to motivate individuals to loose weight. You can point out things that need to be changed without alienating people and boosting your own ego.

I don't think fat people should be sacred cows {pardon the pun}!, I think with comedy you run the risk of offending pretty much anyone ,and jokes about other people tend to be fine until the comedian decides to target an issue you have... I think people generally should harden the fukk up. There were people in tears when responding to the video... WTF.

Having said that, I disliked the video and I will explain why.This girl labels herself a comedian. First the girl didn't seem to know why she was making it, was it to rip the piss out of fat people,or was it some kind of infomericial for fat people? And , really making fun of fat people, tends to make them fatter, because they get all upset and reach for another twinkie... so if this girl is about making people slimmer so she isn't so squished on an airplane,she will have the complete opposite effect. I also don't think women can really be funny, they tend to be crap comedians, and this girl is a perfect example of that. If she had been funny perhaps she wouldn't have got so much of an uproar. But she just isn't funny so she just comes off as a bit of a c*nt and really ought to go back to talking about hair and beauty tips or shaking their ass at the camera, of whatever these you tube girls do

What about the individuals who took up the advise and actually made steps towards loosing weight? The weight loss industry is worth 61 billion the demand is there, people want to loose weight. For every person who says they are comfortable being fat I'd wager there are many more who seek ways to change that.
