just for a little history on this...
U.S. ambassador to Canada confirms imminent departure

A diplomatic gap wouldn't be without precedent for Canada in modern times; in fact, it last happened after the previous change in administration between Republicans and Democrats.

David Wilkins, appointed ambassador to Canada by George W. Bush, served his tenure right up until the inauguration of Barack Obama in January 2009. Confirmation hearings for David Jacobson then took place in August of that year and he officially began as ambassador of Canada in October.

There was also a gap of six months before Bill Clinton appointee James Blanchard took his post in 1993 after Peter Teeley, tapped by George H.W. Bush, left the job.

In contrast, the posting to Ottawa was only officially vacant for a week before Paul Cellucci began serving in 2001, after George W. Bush and the Republicans assumed control of the White House from the Democrats.

but yea...Trump...

Can thecoli rise above and not be continuously played by the media in 2017?? or is this gonna be more of the same blindly following the MSM with no critical thinking.

You would think by now that ppl would at least do a quick google search to see if this is out of the ordinary or not.

They had almost a month.. that's more than you get at most jobs

What do you mean "a month"? There's no replacement to hand off knowledge to. Gorvernment transitions aren't like corporate jobs. Same thing that Obama did fro Trump, ambassadors do for their replacements.

This is a little different.

In most cases you can get a new job in the town you live in.

From what it sounds like these people have to secure a new job in another country. And if they have kids they gotta take care of the school thing too

NYC gonna get it first.
:snoop:

tis not a sprint, tis a disaster-athon marathon..even if North Korea launches missiles at the West Coast and they 'miss' they could set off tectonic plates that activate huge tsunami's in the Pacific or the ones under Yellowstone that activate a huge earthquake..

both coasts got an equal chance of extreme disaster, but the way i see it let all the crackas and c00ns in the Midwest/South who voted for this clown live it out a little longer with him,i mean who'd wanna live there with those humanoids anyways..:manny::pachaha:

Ehm can you read this concerns all 45 of them and there is usally a grace period for them to get their affairs in order there wasn't one, the question is whether you can rise above your love for your new overlord and be willing to see with clarity, yes there is a level off hysteria and the media are partly to blame for it. But literally just going from the people Trump appointed, is ample evidence on where he stands.

they were told Dec 23rd...so they have had almost a whole month.

I don't love Trump, but I have no problems putting ALL the facts out there rather than just rolling with partial truths or even #fakenews.

this hive mentality on thecoli is disturbing......
