Your top 5 favorite movies of Summer 2014

Now that summer is pretty much over, i figured it is the proper time to make this thread

and since it's my thread i say that Captain America 2 counts as a summer movie even if it started in early april

my list looks pretty popcorn, but i saw everything I wanted to other than 'Get on Up' and indie darling 'Boyhood'

1. Guardians of the Galaxy
2. Edge of Tomorrow (Live Die Repeat? WB)
3. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
4. Captain America : The Winter Soldier
5. X-Men :Days of Future Past

(3 and 4 may be interchangeable..struggled with it )

Honorable Mention: Chef, Snowpiercer (still a bit conflicted on it)

Damn I could only think of 4. All the other movies I saw this summer kinda sucked to me.

This is tough....Only a couple of these are in my top movies of 2014, but of the top summer movies (starting May 1 and ending August 31), I will go with these in order:

5.Godzilla
4.22 Jump Street
3.The Rover
2.Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
1.X-Men: Days of Future Past

Both #1 & #2 are part of my top 2014 list as of right now, but after oscar season starts next week, they will probably drop

Honorable Mention to Guardians of the Galaxy...thought it was pretty good, but I need a second viewing to decide whether its top 5 material
