I started binge-watching this shiet during the week-end and just finished it
The first couple episodes got me hooked up but shyt took a turn for the worst when the writers decided to
blow up Kofi's mom's house with all the lil kids.
I was like really:stopitslime:
Then that lil cac idiot decides to
befriend the sister of the mob's son whom he killed in one of the most gruesome ways
Please give me a break !
It was straight garbage from there.
I'm surprised they didn't show some cop murdering a black man a la George floyd since they seemed so adamant to show how helpless and vulnerable Blacks are.....oh wait
they actually did that with those shots of Kofi's face !
Garbage show and overall it was a waste of my time
As for that finale Cranston should stick to acting

There was no justice at all, sure there was the very brief catharsis when Kofi's little brother ended Cranston's son but what happens to the kind after that? Everybody around him failed to step up and now he's left to the system or the Baxters.

There really is little merit to this show.

Andrene Ward-Hammond (Big Mo) was lowkey the star of this even if the whole “playing the long game” thing turned out pretty inconsequential. She stole every scene she was in

Carlo/Baxters in general getting away unscathed doesn’t feel right. You could say they lost Rocco and their family is all fukked up, but they killed an innocent black family. black people as punching bags is getting real old and these cacs pat themselves on the back for these depictions and tell you they’re just showing how evil other cacs are and how cacs like them can get away with shyt

I really thought that whole desire dude sleeping with judges wife was going somewhere and it didn't...

I thought that was being set-up for a reveal that the judge potentially having been the one that offed his wife (due to the affair). would have connected with how he was overcompensating at the start of the show to be a “good guy”. Cac judges don’t do that lol. in fact, the black judge he set-up for that DUI was always complaining about how he was always trying to serve justice and thus working the cases slowly. him killing his wife would have been justification for his overcompensating and also show that he was always of questionable character. Also would have had weight with the scene with the gas station guy when he told the story about finding out his wife was having an affair to get access to the security tapes (it kinda still does).

I can't help feeling they were setting up things and ran out of time.

They messed up with the ending - he has no reason to lie anymore unless he is going to kill the crime boss - even if he killed his wife the effect wont be the same because his son is dead.

2nd season not needed, thought it was a limited season anyway.

Maybe we will find out why the black suv randomly made an appearance

The purpose of bringing up the wife's affair

The scenes with the detective showing the pictures

How Bryan was a whizz with mobile phones lol

:lolbron:

Like said previously, the show started off really good but you could tell the drop in quality in writing. Cut scenes and plot holes etc
