i think day after tomorrow is my favorite. dante's peak is a close second.

I will say i would like to see a disaster netflix series. starting before the events during and maybe what a post apocolyptic fall from all of it is like. the drama the disaster

I like Deep Impact, the human reactions seemed real compared to the other ones where everybody pulls together and is full of positivity about defeating the planetary threat.

There's a film called 'Melancholia' from a few years ago that comes to mind although its far from your traditional disaster film, its more philosophical and character driven.
